I cannot seem to access the strike playlist. I can do strikes from the map, but the vanguard (I think it's called; honestly I'm unsure since I've never seen it in the game) is just not there. It shows me an empty spot.
I don't know if I missed anything. I finished all the main story missions. I did the destiny 2 base game storyline, Curse of Osiris and Warmind before starting Forsaken, which I have finished as well. I have spoken to Zavala multiple times and he doesn't give me anything to unlock the strike playlist.
https://imgur.com/a/bPLdiMu is what I see in my destinations. It's just an empty spot. I never really realized I was missing something until I couldn't find the nightfall strike anywhere. I read that was something to do progress, but I just didn't see it anywhere.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried googling the issue but found no solutions, just some people with the same problem on the these forums and reddit. I have only played one character so I'm not sure if this issue would exist on a different one. EDIT: I have boosted a warlock to 30 and this character does have access to the strike playlist. The character was made near the PC release of destiny 2, but I only finished all the story missions when Forsaken was released. I quit at lvl 15ish the first time, so that's where I picked up earlier this month.
I hope someone can help me out here. Would love to access everything Destiny 2 has to offer.
EDIT: after some more googling and searching I think this is caused by skipping a talk with Zavala when he's still at the farm. People often mention a mission to do 2 strikes after which the playlist is unlocked. I have never gotten this mission. This is a serious bug so I'm really hoping someone will read this.

Same issue here. Well into forsaken with all milestones completed apart from crucible, and still no strike playlist.
