Exotic did not appear in my inventory after looting from strike chest. I’m furious...

So after about my 100th strike I finally got my first exotic engram from the chest. I picked it up and saw it was a weapon and was ecstatic. Opened up my inventory and it wasn’t there. Plenty of space. I checked the postmaster and it was empty too. Vault was empty. I checked collections on exotics found and nothing new had registered. My friend was sitting next to me playing the strike with me and saw the exotic pop up on the right side of the screen and told me I wasn’t hallucinating and that an exotic definitely dropped for me... At this point I can tell I got screwed over and there is probably nothing I can do at this point but I’m hoping someone here will have something useful to say. If this had happened on Destiny 1 I wouldn’t have even bothered posting but considering how insanely nerfed the exotics are now I’m pretty f*cking upset about how something could just vanish from existence after clearing popping up on the right side of the screen. P.s. I checked my inventory to make sure it wasn’t like an ornament or quest item just to be safe and nothing. It simply just never registered and I’m baffled as to how this can happen...

  • If I had this happen to me... I would've quickly hit that share button to save a clip for proof. Without that, I know that most people here wouldn't believe it happened. I do wish more people would do that, instead of just assuming people are going to take their word for it.
