Turning in to any Vendor is bad, Banshee's just the worst

So turning a hundred gunsmith parts into Banshee is bad. Like, it's such a minor, tiny annoyance, but having to click ten times in a row? Every time? Come on. But the same can be said for quite literally every vendor out there (Even if there's no reason to turn literally anything in to the old destination vendors, they hold nothing of value, thanks again for that.) The core problem is turning things in with a set stack amount is just... completely absurd. If people are going to turn quite literally anything in to a Vendor, odds are they want an engram and aren't just loading things into the bar for... no reason. So, how about this: Why don't you have it just take whatever it needs to fill up the bar? One click. Every time. I can't imagine it's complex to go "Take 100 - Current Stock from Player Inventory." You can already take a variable amount based on how much we're holding. EDIT: While we’re on the topic, why is there even a bar? Again, nobody has ever gone “I’ll just bank a few of these for now, don’t need to turn the rest in.” There’s not a carrying capacity for resources worth noting, unless it’s arbitrarily enforced at some point. Just let us convert resources into an Engram directly. Rahool lets us do it. So should literally everyone else.

If we have enough mats, just let us grab the engram. Let the gunsmith mats and tokens be used like legendary shards at Xur or even glimmer. No reason to have a bar...just keep a count of purchased engrams as our "rank".

  • Remember in d1 when there were no clicks? It would just tell you to go get your package when you ranked up? Forsaken is amazing but there are still odds and ends that need sorting.

    • The number of weapon parts require to rank up banshee needs to be returned to original. They only increased it because people had large amount of weapon parts saved. Most players are past the soft cap that banshee drops so at this point 100 weapon parts is not only highway robbery but also unnecessary.

Yeah, i dont understand why you cant just click once at banshee. If it costs 100 parts for an engram (bad enough as it is)... make it 100 parts per click. Or even just 50 per click. Plus add in the fact that i turned in 1000 parts, and got 7 of the same fusion rifle. Thanks for time ill never get back! I shy away from turning stuff into him because its almost as bad as deleting shaders was.

    • I agree. It's utterly stupid how many times you have to click to rank up. Like most people I hadn't bothered handing any of my gunsmith materials in for months before Forsaken, so I had a ton of them. I spent WAY too long handing all those in. It really just needs to be a single click option. "Hey, you have enough for an engram, do you want to cash it in? Click. *receives engram. How hard can that be to put in?

    • Have you purchased a large number of planet mats from Spider to farm masterwork cores yet? Now that is a pain in the ass.

That made me smile just a little. :) In one sitting, I recently turned in 7,000 weapon parts. Ten at a time . :( At the moment, I have another 6,500 in the vault. Gotta wait for the thumb to recuperate from the last visit though.

I think my brain just turned the part off that thinks about this stuff because when you spell it out, it really does seem like just the dumbest system. Only thing I can think of is they want us to feel the raw satisfaction of seeing a bar fill up. Maybe there’s some psychological effect, I don’t know. Honestly, I hate turning in mats and tokens because I have trauma from getting multiple dupes or simply shit rewards every single time. Seriously, I cringe every time I click on the engram.

        • Shaders. Drop in groups of 3. Can only delete 5 at a time. If you've got 4 or less, can only delete 1 at a time. 'Delete all'? Nope.

          • Maybe they are getting kickbacks from mouse and controller manufacturers... to make you wear out that button faster. :)

            • The old vendors can drop masterworks and mod components. Supposedly any vendor can drop exotics. I agree it should just fill the bar or at least more of the bar.

              • You are absolutely 100% correct about this. It is an oversight of the most embarrassing order, IMO. Making players click the button 10 times for a paltry reward is how you foster ill-will in that encounter. And it's not like Bungie doesn't already have enough of that particular issue in this game... Just such a shocking oversight that I can't even...

I agree, standing at banshee pressing the button five hundred thousand times is really stupid. The other vendors aren’t a big deal though, especially if maybe you only want to give away a few planetary materials at a time, since they are now used in infusion.
