Combined with Shattering Strike or Melting Point for the extra vulnerability - and you will be taking down bosses in a clip or less of the Shotgun. Hell, because of the EP Shotgun, it's possible to do Shuro Chi without having to stun her with the Taken Charge. It's not possible otherwise.
