If you haven’t already read the full book here: https://www.ishtar-collective.net/categories/book-the-man-they-call-cayde
First off, well done Bungie. Aside from the cutscenes, Ace of Spades quest and everything else, this is a terrific homage to Cayde. The book shows the depth and breadth of his character, his vulnerabilities, his insecurities and his strength. It is a beautiful final peak at the Exo behind the myth. It actually made, and still makes, tears well in my eyes.
You can disagree with me and say that it’s rubbish or crap, but this is one of the most moving peices of writing I’ve ever read.

The most interesting piece of this all is that he just called himself “Cayde-6”. He was rebooted many more times than just 6, but he just stopped counting. Because he dislikes the number 7. So in reality we could’ve been talking to Cayde-7, 8, 9, 10... all this time.

2 RepliesAww... I thought you were going to talk about the music track of the same name in Forsaken's soundtrack. I love that track so much.

So was ace really just a earlier form of cayde the entire time?
-
The feels. That last entry was a punch to the gut.
