No, clear all 7 waves, kill last boss. Once it says something on screen, go start it again, it will start on wave 6, and then you go to boss wave. Clan did it that way few weekends ago, ended up getting all the armor, and the shotty, sniper and smg. It much better now, and it was fun as well.
