Xur used to be a mysterious person who offered something no one will ever expect But now Xur is a big puppet sold only things with a "controlled" RNG. So let's kill Xur off the Destiny Game.
-
XUr ruined this game when he sold gjally to all the casuals at the end of d1. It took two years for Bungie to pull themselves out of that mess.
-
Take Xur and the person in charge of loot distribution and throw them out. They are both mingy. 😐

Xur used to be a mysterious person who offered something no one will ever expect
Xur came out the gate selling sunbreakers for a month straight. Enough with the nostalgia boners.

1 ReplyNo, Xur just needs to be updated. He needs to appear in sensible locations (tower or farm), he needs to offer bounties that offer cores and mods, as well as offer unique ships, sparrows and maybe even a rotating stock of catalysts. Perhaps consumables that offer buffs to experience and such. I have seen lots of good ideas floating around to improve Xur, no need to kill him off.

You guys need to chill with this stuff. My brother is a casual but loves the destiny universe. He started out on just a hunter and got all of the exotics in year 1 for his hunter. He is liking Destiny more and more and started a titan and warlock during Forsaken. Guess where he is getting a bunch of “new” exotics each week? I don’t understand why you guys think the universe revolves around you.
-
Uh... no? Just give him a weekly bounty that rewards an exotic, have him sell a small/limited selection of mats at reduced cost etc. Maybe even reintroduce strange coins. Why cut content when it can so easily be improved?
-
No, because if it weren’t for xur, then we literally wouldn’t get any exotics at all.
-
Yeah, that's REALLY going to be a big help to players who are new. I no longer need him. Obviously you no longer need him either. Why kill him off when he can be helpful to newer players? Simple solution is to do what I do and pay no attention to him.
-
Just because he’s not useful to you right now doesn’t make him useless to everybody else. He is particularly useful to new players and old returning players that didn’t play the previous expansions and are coming back for Forsaken.
-
He removed himself. Non starter.
-
Or you could just not go to see him....
-
Yes let's all roll up into the Tower and grab him up, throw him in a van and drop off him off on the side of the road and drive away. Dude's like a bad penny, he always turns up
-
No let him sell off all the new and cool stuff but bring back strange coins back in the old D1 days making sure you had enough coins for Xur made it a good grind you would end up with enough to buy either 2 armor pieces or pony up all you got for the weapon
-
<I mean... Xur's probably gonna be an enemy in 2 years so it's honestly probably for the best.>
-
Edited by Minicupi: 9/29/2018 5:24:21 PMSure......but when devs fix the drops.
-
Or... remove the new dev team that made D2.
-
7 RepliesYuna cut Xur’s balls off. Since she sells Forsaken exotics for cash Xur can’t give them out for (free) in game currency. Its so obvious that this is true... i don’t get why people think it isn’t.
-
I agree just have the drifter sell them he seems to be the wheeler dealer type.
-
Removing Xur from destiny is like removing one to many kidneys
-
Or just give him cooler and weirder stuff to sell. He’s an odd, interesting character, no reason to just dump the work that went into him, just take advantage of his “strange” potential One thing I would suggest is have him come randomly, not regularly every week. The guy is kind of pathetic now, coming every Friday, peddling his usual junk. He needs some mystery in his appearances, it should feel special.
-
To the pit of misery with xur!
-
I already made a post 2 weeks back that old xur need to retire. But no one answered.
-
Let’s remove Xur and the turd responsible for loot distribution. Kill two birds with one stone. 🤙🏼
-
1 ReplyHis will is not his own...
-
And the dick sucker in charge of loot distribution.
-
Sure. I don’t care.
