So basically I was in comp and I was playing with a friend who started ddosing. I told him several times not to be didn't listen. I ended up getting banned but he didn't. My ban was for 2 weeks off of crucible. Then 2 days later I get a account ban and now I can't get back onto the game. Everyone reported me because they didn't think it was him because he a had a female profile picture as his gamer pic. Is there anyway I could talk to someone at bungie about this because I could give proof it wasn't me. I've already checked guidelines and I don't break any myself. And before you say " it doesn't matter. You're guilty of assosiation.".it doesn't matter I checked the guidelines. I was wronglyfully banned. Also if that was true everyone else in the fireteam especially the person actually ddosing would have gotten banned to. Which they didn't. They are still playing the game to this day.

10 RepliesUnfortunately, I imagine Bungie would see you as guilty by association. They don’t normally talk over bans. Maybe try giving a talk with one of the mods over on the official page that lets you converse with them. (Not available on phone)

it is your own fault, you state in your post, i knew he was dosing, i told him to stop. you were an active and knowing participant in cheating, that very much breaks the terms of service. Enjoy your perma ban, you deserve it.
-
Why are you playing with cheaters?

Edited by Flea Flicker: 9/28/2018 8:48:51 PMThe guy who drive the getaway car is just a guilty as the guy who robbed the liquor store. Anyone else inside the getaway car is guilty too whether they were apart of the robbery or not.. Don't want to do time then be careful who you associate with. Just say'n...

3 RepliesJust reports alone wouldn't get you banned. Bungie look into the situation with the reports and it must of been you ddosing not him. You simply got caught out and you deserve the ban for it. I hate people who feel the need to cheat to get ahead.
-
4 RepliesFind a new friend and try again in 2 weeks.
-
4 RepliesDont cheat...you knew what he was doing and you reap what you sow. People like yourself and friend shouldn't play video games. The need to cheat just shows how truly pathetic someone is. Its a game for fun. I'm glad you recieved an account ban...they should ban you from these forums cheater

6 RepliesBefore a crash, most of the small plane pilots' radio conversation ends with... "Hey man! Watch this ...." moral of the story Before you (read squad) get caught, it was probably very funny that your "friend" ddosing.
-
You should check with your friend again, sounds like he probably did it before with you in the fireteam and didn't tell you. Either way, you knew and you still stayed in the game so you get your ban. Lesson learned, move on.

Bans are permanent and you deserve what you got, now beat it you dirty cheater!

You can't hang out with your friend as he robs a bank get benefits from the robbery and then claim victim. You could have left when he started but you chose to participate and benefit from his sleazy actions. Lesson is you are the company you keep, In Destiny and in real life. Accept the life lesson it may save your life one day. Get better friends.

8 RepliesIt wasn't me....it was my friend. Sounds kinda fishy.
-
6 RepliesYou should have left as soon as you knew he was doing it, you didn't and got punished for it, seems fair to me.
-
2 RepliesYou were a part of it, doesnt matter.

19 RepliesEdited by jnikoley: 9/28/2018 3:13:27 PMYou knew he was doing it, didn’t immediately leave, nor did you report the crime. You got what you deserved. In truth, you deserve a lot worse. Using a DOS attack or being a party to one is a crime. As the getaway driver to a bank robbery, you’re just as guilty when the robber pulls the trigger. You happened to get caught. So sorry, not sorry.

13 Repliesyour fault, you were still playing with your friend WHO WAS DDOSING so what i'm trying to say is that you get no mercy from bungie, you should've taken the suspension from crucible by leaving, instead you stayed and got the ban because you were affiliated with them.
-
4 RepliesGuilty by association. You knew he was doing it, you benefited from it, you did nothing to stop it, and you didn’t leave. I’m glad you got banned.

So basically I was in comp and I was playing with a friend who started ddosing. I told him several times not to be didn't listen.
You see that bold part? You knew. You benefited from it. You knew. You didn't leave. You knew. You deserve the ban. Enjoy the vacation. Bye.

LOLz, guilty by association.

2 RepliesYour post and follow up posts are pathetic. So happy you were perma banned. "Celebrate Good Times Come On" "Its a celebration"

Edited by BADMAGIK: 9/28/2018 4:56:11 PMThese posts always crack me up and they're always written the same way. 1. A whining title that points a finger 2. Some stupid narrative with a bs back story 3. The "let me talk to your manager attitude" (wants to speak to Bungie) 4. A hilarious victim defense conclusion where the author will not listen to anyone who disagrees. 5. And let's not forget the best part; most of the time the author admits to doing something without even knowing it.
-
You benefitted from the ddosing which you knew was happening. Also, if you can deliberately prove that you told your friend to stop, I doubt it. I think you knew from the start he was gonna ddos and you let it happen, and now that you’ve been banned, you’re lying and saying that you weren’t the ddoser and that you didn’t want anyone to ddos.

5 RepliesI find it odd that all your recent game history is hidden so we can't see it. Most likely lots of games that didn't finish due to the disconnects.
-
4 RepliesEdited by OffSync: 9/28/2018 5:11:46 PMLMAO had to edit the post with a paragraph trying to say you are innocent

1 ReplyI wouldn't exactly call him a "friend"
