Secret Victories Emblem
To put it bluntly, this emblem is a mess.
Firstly, I'm pretty sure the drop for the initial emblem (no variant) is bugged. I have lots of friends who have gotten this emblem after what seems to be their first ever ascendant challenge completion no problem but there's a couple of us who have done numerous challenges and blind well completions and never got the initial emblem drop. To make matters worse when you inspect the emblem in collections, there's no listed source for the initial emblem, the variants have sources but the default doesn't.
To add to the confusion,there's the variant you can get from the Blind Well which makes people think that's how they got the emblem but I'm pretty sure you have to get the actual emblem first and then that will allow the variants to be added to the loot pool.
The reason it's really annoying me is because of the associated collections badge with the emblem and the fact that this badge is necessary to get the Wayfarer title.
Anyone else have the same problem?
Edit: I made this post quite a while ago and have received the emblem in that time. I got it to drop from a Blind Well completion. It also dropped with the Blind Well emblem variant which leads me to suspect that getting the variant also triggers getting the base emblem. If so,I think that Bungie should go and change it so the base emblem drops guaranteed from your next ascendant challenge completion to compensate the trouble it's caused some players but I figured I'd make this edit for anyone hunting that emblem down and end up reading this post.

Same issue here. never get the emblem. I don't even know about the other version of that stuff.

2 RepliesI was in the same situation until yesterday. I’ve seen the emblem drop for others many times in blind well (tier II or III). I play about 100 hours a week so it was frustrating that I had done blind well so many more times than others who got in their first 10-20 attempts. I finally got it around my 50th time completing blind well. For myself (and everyone else I’ve seen get it), the default emblem and one variant drop at the same time from the chest. I definitely did not have the emblem before the variant. I’m afraid, like many other things in the game, a low drop rate and bad rng means it might take you a long time to get it. I’ve been running Gambit several hours each day this week and I’ve never seen the malfeasance primeval.

2 RepliesYes, have the same issue. Also have underleveled people in my clan who lucked into a Level 4 Blind Well and got it, but not me. I do the Ascendant Challenge each week and have done a few Level 4 Blind Wells. Only thing I'm missing in that collection.
