The thing behind the drifter
In the launch ship while playing gambit, there’s a moving almost sentient looking thing wiggling around, it doesn’t look taken
My thought is it’s possibly a form of the darkness?
Wanna know what you guys think

I heard that it is “a shard of the ascendant plane” not a throne world, but something he uses to store the primevals, pretty interesting I think

1 ReplyI read that its some pocket ascendant realm that he brings around with him and its some prison for the taken, Thats where the taken enemies in Gambit come from

1 ReplyIIRC from the lore he spent years on an ice planet, with what we assume to be blobbish black snake-like things that could suck the light from a Guardian just by slithering on by, so it could be one of those creatures (some of them were trapped in ice and his team studied those). We still don't really know his plans or aims, but 1) we collect motes of dark by killing things and giving them to him, and he has an ascendant pocket (not quite a realm, more of a storage place IIRC), so possibly we are feeding his Sword Logic or something? He's also summoned Primevals (using a larger mote of Dark from the banks, which I assume compress the ones we collect) to defeat Cabal that attacked him so he can call them basically any time he wants. And 2) He's been obsessed with finding a way to fight the Light of other Risen since he saw the wars between the all the Warlords before the City Era.

10 Replies<I don't think THAT in particular is a form of Darkness, but rather just fauna. HOWEVER, there's ice all over the damn place. Not to mention that the Derelict is apparently full of stolen alien cryo-tech. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm quite sure I know what he's hauling.>

1 ReplyWell if you look at what his ship is pulling, on the map that's on earth where its closest. It looks like a big alien egg of some kind thats more attached to his ship than his ship is pulling it. Like it's got tendrils and stuff attached to the ship instead of some cables or somthing
