It’s not going to get “fixed”. If increasing the masterwork charge time from 700-800 and reducing aa slightly was the only outcome then I wouldn’t care. While I haven’t acquired it in D2 I was an avid user in d1. I am mad at people’s perception that sleeper is the problem. It’s not. Once sleeper is nerfed to oblivion people will claim snipers are too strong and they’ll get nerfed again. Then tracking rockets will get nerfed. Then soon enough invaders will be aimlessly walking around ‘combined arms’ sized maps and defenders will be free to just stroll around collecting motes. Pretty soon no one will want to invade and gambit will cease to be. Gambit. People are literally complaining about a gun that was never a problem before. Not only will a single gun get messed up but soon heavy weapons in general for gambit. Then soon enough gambit will end up being dramatically different. It’s not going to end with sleeper. People are literally coming up with complaints about every aspect of gambit. They are mad because they can’t develop better tactics and skills. Out of the long history of op things and broken mechanics I’ve witnessed since launch day of D1. Sleeper and gambit aren’t even in the book.
