And before you say just use whatever subclass gets the bonus damage, it was on solar and no one ever uses solar so I never got the reward cause I use whatever subclass gets the damage boost. Now it reset and it's on void. This seems really dumb. Doing the strike 3 times to get the reward makes sense. Doing it while matching the light element of the subclass of fireteam members... on random matchmaking? How does that make sense?
*EDIT*
And for the last time people... I said it's dumb. It's a dumb idea for a challenge. I'm not saying its impossible. Convince me how this is an interesting idea and a good weekly challenge... can't? Didn't think so. It should just be complete the strike 3 times. Or if they're trying to make things interesting at least come up with using specific weapons and class abilities only, regenerating ammo for rockets and abilities only. Something cool. Oh wait that would require them to sit down and program stuff. Bungie ain't doing that without money.

And you actually took time to complain about something so irrelevant and easy? Well im wasting time replying.

Edited by name-not-needed: 9/28/2018 3:42:03 AMNo one uses solar subclasses, despite them being the strongest subclasses for PvE. I think you might just be unlucky. Titan: Top Tree Sunbreaker is the highest damage roaming super Warlock: Bottom Tree and Middle Tree Dawnblade with the former being great for killing ads and the latter pretty much giving you god mode. Hunter: Nighthawk and Blade Barrage dominate PvE, Nightstalker is a shadow of its former self since the launch of D2 and is only used for orbs now.

If only there was a way to check another players Loadout, that would make it so much easier!
-
it's 3 strikes ffs...
-
5 RepliesWhat I do is, inspect them before we load in and switch to their subclasses. That way you can complete no problem. On a side note, hammers are best for titans, blade barrage is best DPS for hunters and dawnblade is strong for adds. Solar subclasses are best for strikes imo

Typical millennial.

I’ve been getting lucky lol
-
1 ReplyAn attempt to get idiots to start using the RIGHT subclass for the singe. Sad that they have to do this because people can't pay attention.
-
1 Reply
no one ever uses solar
-
6 RepliesNever uses solar.... boy if you dont stop with the nonsense.
-
1 ReplyBoy it’s so hard to take a few seconds to inspect the 2 randoms while flying in and match one of there elements.
-
Had to stop reading at "no one ever uses solar." Solar is the most dominant pve subclass for every character damn near.
-
5 RepliesI hate it because you get these morons using arc witha void burn
-
2 RepliesThere is an easy solution to the first thing you are bitching about these randoms on Destiny are -blam!-, we all know this. Check your teammates subclass right before the strike ends and match it it’s literally THAT simple, I figured this out immediately after I noticed I wasn’t getting progress. You? came to the forums and cried about it. People like you are what ruined this game
-
10 RepliesLook at roses see what randoms are running and match subclass, job done. Btw yes slightly annoying but no biggie
-
I agree it is a dumb idea... I think they where trying to get players to sync to the singe, bungie just doesn't realize the amount/level of trolling players seem to get off on. the joys of playing with randoms.
-
They want a twist on strikes. Should everyone have locked loadouts like prestige raid lairs....probably not, people will cry and not have those weapons high enough. Will everyone want to use two primaries...no. Two shotguns, no. They made an easy challenge that isn't just run 3 strikes and don't play for the next three days. Is it hard, no. But it's a change nonetheless.
-
They should change it back to a Burn rather than a singe... No one really cares about a ‘singe’. I want real damage dealing.
-
2 RepliesI really think the point is to make people aware of their subclass and remind them to match it to the burn
-
2 RepliesDestiny players will complain about any little thing clearly.
-
I feel you man I’m always solar and randoms are never solar. But when that happens I watch for one teammates abilities and swap to it when I see what they’re running
-
I always use solar. Your argument is dumb.
-
1 ReplyCheck what people are using in the roster first man. Cmon this isn't -blam!-ing rocket science.
-
I just match my subclass to the singe, usually a good chance 1 of 2 will do the same, except sometimes hunters run tether regardless of the singe We're sill in that way Love, Nano

Edited by Flea Flicker: 9/26/2018 1:53:35 PMI agree this matching element of a teammate thing is a brain fart. Its more irritating than anything else, but real easy to overcome, you just have to use the roster and check what your teammates a running and plan accordingly.
-
It's probably to promote people using the singe class, but like the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water...."
