I'm a warlock main, but play the 2 other classes frequently. As of right now warlocks have the worst 3d movement.
1. In pvp the glide is very slow it is the slowest class unless using blink
2. Very predictable movement, unlike titans that have a dash or hunters that can space out jumps
3. No exotics that buff in air mobility. Titans have lion ramparts, hunters have stomp-EEs
Solutions:
1. have the jump be more vertical, but keep descent speed same.
2. Have descent be more controllable and move around quicker.
3. Add warlock skating

You are a very uninformed person I feel bad I’m not even a warlock main xD

1 ReplySo many uninformed people in this post lacking knowledge on Warlock surfing... *very long sigh* 😧

1 ReplyThere's a difference between agility and speed. On a flat or otherwise wide open area, a Warlock can move pretty quickly with Burst Glide. But when it comes to finer movement, like quickly moving around corners and over obstacles, that's where Warlocks are weakest.

8 RepliesEdited by Skinny George R.R. Martin: 9/22/2018 3:31:37 PMHere’s how to gain speed while gliding: 1: use burst of momentum node 2: jump (Do not immediately go into glide) 3: when you start to fall, activate your glide for a brief moment to gain the speed boost and then hit the jump button again to cancel it 4: repeat Some people actually take time to learn the game mechanics, and those people know how to swordglide as warlock.

Warlock skating is already a thing

Edited by SalaciousDanish: 9/23/2018 5:03:35 AMWRONG. WRONG. WRONG. You haven’t played your warlock enough. My fastest character is my warlock. Warlock skating is a real thing, and the only class that can beat me is a lock running blink. If you want speed, apply burst glide paired with the speed boots (transversive steps?) and jump, after hitting the peak of your jump and begin to come back down, hit jump again to activate the boost. This gives you a great boost of speed and will even allow you to beat a Titan in a race with some practice. Also the strafe glide allows you to be the most lethal mobile air born attack unit in pvp. When paired with Dawnblade attunement of sky you can rain death down upon your opponents and they have NO IDEA where it is coming from. Even those silly shotgunners are fooled. Hope some of these tips help. Eyes up.

Yeah-it’s the main reason I changed from Lock main D1 to Titan main D2. Cant stand the glide.
-
I'd say Warlocks have been buffed enough. They've been the favorite Class since D1, for Bungie anyway. I play Hunter as main but when I play my alt Warlock, I kind of feel like Mary Poppins on the glide down. Lol.
-
Blink or burst... Glide = Warlock Pinata
-
2 RepliesWarlock with 7 mobility, using Burst Glide, Warlock-Skating is faster than all other classes. This is coming from someone who is a die-hard Titan. If you have 10 mobility, Mida, Mida-mini, burst-glide, and Wings of Sacred Dawn... Holy crap. If you didn't know, now you know. Warlock glide will never be buffed. If you know how to use it, it's already insane fast.
-
1 ReplyI use to be a warlock main in D1 then moved to hunter, in D2 I'm a hunter main still an I started as the warlock as my second class but over the last year I literally can't stand warlock cause of the jump your a sitting duck in pvp if u try to jump away an in pve it's the most inconsistent jump out the 3 I really hope it gets adjustments.

As a warlock main... I’ve never understood why people think it’s the worst jump ability
i know every class is different. It’s about play style.
Also never understood why people fail so hard at jumping puzzles.
-
4 RepliesTitan definitely has the worst jump... they should switch it back to how it used to be.
-
1 ReplyWarlock skating is a thing.. wym? Also.. if you really want the "skating" feeling... toss on a sword and gg.
-
4 RepliesIt's definitely not the slowest.
-
1 ReplyIf you want air mobility, why add skating?
-
-
I want to be able to get back on a ledge lol.

1 ReplyEdited by DiZ: 9/22/2018 2:18:20 AMYou understand that with proper usage of Warlock surfing, Warlocks are actually the fastest class horizontally on console? Here are some guides on it down below. It may be D1 gameplay, but currently, Warlock movement in the sequel is near, if not exactly the same as, Warlock movement in the first game after the Go Fast Update. https://youtu.be/bn8yH0FHn-I https://youtu.be/KBWjJ5nwg5s And that's not even adding in things like Transversive Steps or Lightweight weapons.
-
Here's a secret. Equip sword. Jump. Melee. Glide immediately after melee. Leave any class in the dust. Realize it takes ammo to be fast.
-
6 RepliesWarlock is the best jump in the game. I’ve been using it non stop since D1 launch and prefer it over the other class, especially stage jump.
-
It is called glide after all. Momentum is your best friend with this.
-
I was thinking of an exotic that gives an ionic blink/warp(like icarus dash) From neutral but without i frames to keep it balanced.
-
this is so true, im a warlock main but i played pvp on my titan yesterday on ps4 and man, i feel like a destruction train with my speed, also alot of more kills then i get on my warlock. always thought warlock was lacking someting but not sure what, now i know its definitly speed in movement in jumps/glide

Slowly so you can land safely quickly than hunter
