I got it the original way and to be honest it wasn't a quest that made me feel like I overcame some impossible task. I have trouble understanding why people complained enough to have it changed but is what it is. I'm not bothered, it's just a game. Wait until Pvp players decide that since they made quest steps easier for the PVE players it should go both ways. It's a slippery slope and they have opened themselves up to either appease both groups or look like hypocrites.
