It really wasn’t that challenging at all. I’m not even much good at PvP, but I knocked it out in like 4 Gambit rounds, and a half hour of crucible. Anybody crying that it was too hard to manage just shouldn’t even bother playing this damn game in the first place. Those are the sorts of crybabies that caused the dumpster fire that was year 1 D2.

    Same, finished my in about 3 gambit matches and 4 crucible. I must have been lucky though in that i honestly have only ever been killed by a sleeper once while playing gambit

    Youre the exception dude. I have emptied a full clip (60+ bullets) of auto rifle into the enemy player from behind, then pulled my hand cannon (midnight coup or now Trust) and emptied that into them and barely taken their fornicating shields off. The fornicating lag makes Gambit a fecal storm of frustration and BS. If Bungie had dedicated host servers isnted of this weak 1990's Halo era Peer to Peer networking it might be worth playing.

  • He isn't the exception. The problems most have - They play solo and cannot say " Hey guys, working on 5 Handcannon kills here, when the invader comes in, cpl shots on em plz, so I can 1 tap em!" People get frustrated and anytime they get invaded they immediately go for the kill....usually alone. ( to get the kill ) People are 520 tryna kill someone 545.... The invaders usually, spawn in and sit there aim down the sites waiting, and people can't close the gap to get into an actual engagement for Handcannon range. ( plus the "super vision" the invaders have ) The main problem tho? 80% of this community ( b.net ) just absolutely suck at this game ( and that is fine ppl, it's a game meant for entertainmnet...not life or death and nobody important in your life cares if you're good at a video game or not ) It was ridiculously easy quest...ridiculously...easy. If you found it "hard", then self awareness is a very important thing and you need to realize you just aren't that good at the game. If you found it "annoying, aggravaiting etc" then you are just bitching, and therefore holds NO value.

    You realize Peer to Peer means youre at the mercy of the other people's internet connection, right? So if they lag or lag switch, they take no damage and your bullets are ineffective. My connection is fine. 30 mbps down, 11 mbps up, < 40 ms ping time to MS servers, no one else using my internet when I play and the Xbox one connected directly to the ADSL modem.

  • Haha, it’s taking me about 15/20 gambit games to get 4, 3 and 1 invaders on my characters so far, I’m rubbish... But I’m enjoying it and will get it done eventually. Can’t wait for the twenty five or so crucible games to get the hc kills 😂

  • Ace is a HC for HC primary users. If you like HC then this quest wasn't bad. Pulled out my Y1 "Better Devil's," and finshed myself in 3, or 4 matches. If you're doing this quest to complete the exotic collection, and are say an AR user... This could be rough lol.

  • A lot of this come down to luck. There are 4 guys on your team during at the invader. I have set up so many kills for my team mates by breaking their shield and knockiing their health almost all the way down for someone to just swoop in and take my kill. I have helped a few clan mates get their 5 kills and they all thanked me for setting them up. And said it was down to luck. I'm better at PvP then them lol. Yet I haven't gotten 1 kill yet and I wasn't trying to set anyone up. Now I can invade and work on my kills with no one else to interfere. It's not the killing that was hard. It's the lucking timing of getting the last shot. It was really just like rng... lol. Plus if any gun should be accessible to all this shlould be it. The whole damn story revolved around it.

    Luck maybe. But you improve your odds by trying. That’s really all it takes. Increase the frequency = Increase the odds. You make your own luck. Sure- sometimes that’s frustrating, but frustration doesn’t mean you’re owed a participation medal. That’s the problem with this generation. Everyone feels that they’re owed something that someone else earned.

  • Lol, the op thinks he is owed a special ornament. I don't think I'm owed anything. I just don't think bungie meant this first step to be such a hurdle. What generation do you refer too. I'm in my mid 40's and I don't think I'm "this generation" anymore. Clear one thing up for me. Is the change to any hand cannon kills. Or hand cannon kills while invading or on the invader?

    I believe it's final blow with handcannon on the invader. We have attempted to just put shots on them with HC, but it didn't count. Edit - my bad...totally misread that....it's just like the final step of Chaperone now ( 15 Gambit kills one ) except you obviously only gotta get 5 wit HC.

  • Ok then I missed understood. I thought it was all invation kills whether on the invader or while your invading. Instead it's all hand cannon kills? If so then I agree this is totally lame.

  • It's not 5 wit HC, I'm glad you replied cuz I couldn't find this to edit my post....haha...that I totally messed up. After discussing it, It's gonna be a percentage like the redrix quest. Invaders will count more type of deal.
