Impossible to Level Clan Up As Small Clan
Hey Everyone,
So I have a very small clan just for family and some friends really. In total there are maybe 7 of us and at least 4 play daily. It feels quite impossible to even hit clan level 2 with the way the bounty system works. It’s quite unfair bc last season we were able clan level 5 while only making the clan half way through the season.

Edited by cvskin: 9/20/2018 2:15:41 AMWhat I wish they would do is that after you hit your 5000 point limit on a character, you could still do the bounties each day to contribute to your clans 100k weekly limit. This would allow smaller clans a better path to reach the 100k without having to add members for that sole purpose.

Yeah, I honestly find it ridiculous as well. Not everyone is wanting a giant clan. Last I remember, a clan is a family, not a syndicate. The Irish clans are of few, not by many. What makes a clan so different on here? How they are treating the clan system anymore is absolutely criminal. Remember when playing games with other people was snazzy and fun? Not vulgar and tasking? Since when was doing a "family" activity ever seen as a chore?

2 Repliesi have a 6 person clan (including me) and we are level 2 already. The clan perks are STILL worthless, so it doesnt really matter. I thought Bungie was gonna make clan perks matter in Forsaken? what happened to that idea, like "when in a fireteam with clan gain 20% reduced incoming damage" i specifically remember a bungie dev saying that. but they are just disappointing perks as always, not worth having.

They should make it that if you are in a small clan you gain more XP, but if you are in a larger clan you get more varieties of bounties to choose from.

Now we struggle to keep a few spots open at any given time. Delete anybody who's been offline for more than a month or two and assume they're not coming back. If you get proactive and spend a day or 2 recruiting it really does help. I'm pretty antisocial about meeting new people yet I've met and played with/spoken to dozens of people now since Warmind - it isn't that bad to invite strangers in. Clan is gonna be level 4 next week, I've made some new allies and my clan bounties always get done.

3 RepliesYou need 7 clan mates to do their weekly every week to reach rank 6 in six weeks. I too had a small clan but merge with another small clan and now were growing with active friends from both clans. If you have friends you play with from other clans try merging into one, it helps everything. It's not impossible to level being as you are, it's just going to take longer.

My clan has the exact same problem. We will most likely not pass rank 2 because my clan which is already small, is never on. But It's my clan and I love it. I just wish they'd either make clans actually have a damn point, or just do away with the half baked idea.

Edited by kinga: 9/20/2018 4:00:59 PMBungie should bring back general clan XP accumulation so we can play the game and not have to worry about the clan bounty herding of our characters into a particular section of the game. This would allow everyone once again to earn XP for all activities as we have time to play. The bounties are not that difficult but as is now make the game world more unpleasant than what was before Forsaken. What would work better for all players is to make the clan bounties a character or clan bonus in addition to general clan XP accumulation. As before if we had general clan XP accumulation the game would be more enjoyable.

If they really want to incentivize playing in a clan, instead of making it harder to level a clan, they should have better rewards for reaching clan milestones to max level. The chance to get an extra legendary item is a step in the right direction. Up to this season, the only real incentive to reach max level was bragging rights and a useless staff. The rewards for the milestones reached along the way, including the top for reaching max level, have been pretty anemic.

Hey....It's not that hard...i'm also in a small clan 7-8 guys only and we managed to get our clan level to max 2 out of 3 seasons through year 1 and already on level 2 this season....It's true that Bungie made it a bit harder to level up your Clan with Forsaken, but our "not-so" secret has been focusing on completing the challenge with 3 Characters at least every week (15000 xp personal contribution).. If u play ur cards right u can complete your Character Clan Contribution every 2 days... Sit down with your regular players and make a solid contribution plan and ask the non regular ones to at least contribute the max with one....Soon you'll be able to level up quickly.

This is the third week. It’ll take longer. Bungie isn’t gonna cater to you cause you’re not in a big clan or attempt to recruit people. It’s hella easy.

I'm in the same boat. But that's ok, we will get there eventually. Contributing as much now as before. This system hurts the bigger clans that don't actually play together.

Not impossible, just slow. There’s like 10 people in my clan, we know it’s gonna take longer. If you want it to go faster, you gotta make the clan bigger. There’s no way around it

Yea same. Since its quest based now at least they could remove the limit. Can only do weekly once anyway then be rewarded for playing daily. Which is what i thought they wanted anyway...

You 7 should destiny harder. 5k xp on 3 characters would give u 15k per person.

1 ReplyI guess it's ok anyway since the level up perks are horrible. Get a legendary shard while clearing raid challenges blind with clanmates lol. I'm over exaggerating but seriously those "buffs" are a joke.

If you want you can Merge with SLG (Sword Logic Gaming) we have players active at different times granted we are just level one right now half way through that level. Because not a lot have been updated on how clan exp works. but I believe if your family of 7 is merged with us we would have a better time leveling and we can all enjoy the perks. We also are a flexible clan for raiding and PvP. we do require patience and for people to have fun but over all we are a fun playing clan and would help anyone with what they need and that is reachable within our power. Remember this is a suggestion. Wish you luck. -Cali
