Old McBungie had a farm, E I E I NOOOOOO
I am loving the Forsaken story and new weapons. But, I have an issue. MATS.
I utter detest having to be forced into pve to find mats to upgrade my weapons/gear. Sure I can buy them from Spider, sometimes. But take today for example. I want to upgrade a sweet Trust HC I got and some armor. But I need mats that Spider doesn't have in his rotation. So, if I want to upgrade those weapons or armor I'm now going to be forced to go to Nessus and farm for an hour.... just to upgrade one gun. I am being forced out of the activities I want to spend time playing just to go to orbit, go to spider, run all the way down to spider, THEN see if he has the mats. Oh and you are SOL if you don't have the required mats to buy them from him. Welcome to farming for the next hour or so.
My feedback: Why oh why do armor and weapons not give you mats when you break them down? If they are required to upgrade why don't I get mats when I break them down? It might give a purpose to all the blue armor we get besides getting gun smith material. And that is pointless to have unless you are buying mods. After hitting 500 LL it doesn't drop higher LL weapons.
I would rather spend my time enjoying the game modes of my choice rather than being forced out of those activities to go farm.

Hmmmmm.... Yet when we PVE only players complain on having to go into PVP to complete tasks to complete stuff, ALL of you PVP players tell us PVE’rs to stop whining, complaining... and give us lectures on how it doesn’t take any time at all to do the activity... and how easy it is. (This comment is not directed specifically towards you, but rather the entirety of PVP)

Every planet has three bounties daily that reward 10 mats each. It takes about 15 minutes to knock em out. You can pick up the bounties from the planetary faction vendor.

People have to play PVP to get things and people have to play PVE to get things. Queue the "i hate PVP activities" people next.

10 Repliesyou aren't being forced - use a different gun. Forced - is Gambit invader kills with a hand cannon when the user does not have, own, or use a hand cannon. and when Spider next has the mats you want BUY 1,000 of them. OF ALL OF THEM. That way you will have more than enough in supply when needed. Cause how hard is it really to get glimmer? and buying mats for glimmer is easy peasy.
