It's been going on for over a week now, and Bungie has found no way to fix the issue, or even identify it.
When at first Bungie's stance was "people using the exploit will feel the consequences", it now changed to "only people who heavily used the exploit will be affected".
Well guess what Bungie, the people who heavily used this exploit are almost cracking power level 580, and in the next days they will hit the power level cap of 600. Do you really think people at max level care if you reduce their drop chances going forward?
Or let's start one step earlier, do you seriously expect anyone to believe this whole bs of some dubious consequences in the future? When you can't even identify or fix the issue in over a week?
It's pretty obvious that you are completely clueless on how to handle this and decided to lie to your customers yet again. Is it really so hard to just be honest for once in your (corporate) life? Rhetorical question, we all know the answer.
You delivered something great with Forsaken, you positively surprised me with this expansion, but all it took for you to fall back into your old habbits of notoriously lying was a simple bug you can't fix.
So if you haven't used the prime engram glitch, I recommend you start right now, as you won't have to fear any repercussions whatsoever.
Happy loot hunting.

Bungie should do rollbacks on the accounts that are doing this But ur right, they won’t
-
well now that this is confirmed to NOT be a punishable offence. i will start today and grind until i get my first 600 Edge Transit. Should take me about 24 Hours and 2 minutes I'd say. man, its cold in here. where is my Jacket.

You can’t make a broken game that allows you to do somthing that wasn’t intended and then just tell people to not do it. That’s stupid. It’s clearly just an empty threat so don’t fear and make full use of the bug before they fix it. Their fault no one else’s. They cannot bam your account unless you use third party exploits to modify their game.
-
2 RepliesHonestly I think they reduced the drop rate across the board. Spamming lost sectors but I only get one before I get fed up and leave
-
1 Reply1 it was patched last week, no longer works. 2 it was just playing the game, it wasn't going out of your way to get it, you just didn't pick up an engram. It nowhere near the top of game breaking exploits.
-
1 ReplyYeah the one thing I can't believe about Bungo and this expansion is how they still drop the ball on glitches. Guess what other glitch has returned and will run rampant at reset? The -blam!-in de spawn all adds and open doors glitch. Yes the very same we need a person to leave to orbit in 3,2,1 glitch from -blam!-in leviathan. They cared so little about leviathan and letting people run crazy with glitches in it that they actually never fixed the core problem with that glitch and you can now do the same to skip the adds in every single Last Wish raid encounter. Youtubers have already made videos and people are already skipping the first few encounters like crazy.

hey man bungie has bigger fish to fry at the moment. they can't be worrying about this when they need to be consoling the cryhards that want sleeper nerfed. they're too hard at work ruining that gun to waste time on actual problems.
-
How do you do it? Lolzzz
-
3 RepliesI saw a 600 today....
-
The glitch can be done unintentionally
-
Yeah it’s hard for them to fix, they can’t track the prime engrams until they go into your inventory from the wild, the postmaster avoids removing the buff because there postmaster is meant to pick up stuff you left behind like blues, and it’s not really you picking up those engrams.
-
2 RepliesIt's not really a glitch. Everything is functioning as intended. The issue is that the buff doesn't go away because you haven't picked up the engram. Thus not signifying a drop. (though I can personally attest to getting multiple primes a day without the exploit and the buff seems to always be up so who knows.) anyway. This isn't the last expansion. we got 4 more on the way. And if prime engrams are still a thing with those I bet you'll feel the pain from exploiting then.
-
4 RepliesIt wasn’t a glitch it was a mechanic that bungie put in on purpose for the hardcore no life players to get ready for the raid
-
2 RepliesToo many streamers use(d) the glitch. Bungie will never do anything to upset their target audience.
-
2 RepliesI'd feel dirty doing it, but I don't Care anymore
-
I've only heard rumors of the exploit. But if the only people who cleared the raid used it, I'd prefer to get that strong too. I'll have to find videos or something for it.
-
I don't even care now...I already missed the raid launch so even though I should have used it too, you cant rewind the clock. Oh well, you live, you learn, and you remember that next time, you should use any exploit available to make sure you can be high enough power to experience the raid blind, if that's what you want(I did but I also assumed that obtaining every possible power increase up to raid launch would at least make me high enough to attempt it)...I mean isn't that why the raid came out 10 days after launch? So we could get high enough to attempt it? Now I know, in order to raid on launch day, you have to get every bit of power AND exploit whatever other thing you can, otherwise, it won't happen.
-
1 ReplyOr you could just play the game as they drop pretty regulare. The glitch is more effort than it's worth and very boring.
-
3 RepliesYeah I can do lost sectors for hours and not get more than 1, I have 180 hours into this dlc 3 characters, 537, 539, 533 and still not a single forsaken exotic

its all good and well, but i'm getting sick of Edge Transits
-
2 RepliesHow do you even “use it”? Just... what... play a lot?
-
Dam if that's all you have to worry about.
