I was testing out some of the old exotics with the new subclasses and found that the chest piece Ophidia Spathe works really well with the new flaming knives. Ophidia grants the perk Scissor Fingers, (which grants you two knife charges compared to 1,) this perk, alongside Playing with fire, (which recharges your melee faster each when you kill enemies with knife trick and stacks up to 3 times) makes for a fast recharge for a powerful melee. The perk playing with fire also lasts 15 seconds, and renews itself each time you get a kill with live trick, making it last a long time. This also works well against powerful enemies, since there is also the perk The burning edge (every time you cause burning damage to an enemy from knife trick your dodge recharge rate increases), burning edge combined with gamblers dodge means another way to get knife trick back quickly.

3 RepliesI cant get the dodge to recharge my melee when using this exotic. I had to put it back to reloading my weapons.

2 RepliesShards of Galanor. You won’t know fun until you have them.
My first exotic in Foresaken too :)
5 RepliesNothing beats shards of galanor

Not new, but I found that pairing Transversive steps with Polaris Lance is awesome! It does not reset the accumulated charges for the perfect fifth shot.

I was doing this before Forsaken launched with the explosive throwing knives

1 ReplyTried this as soon as i played forsaken on day 1. Way of a thousand cuts....AKA funslinger works really good with 2 exotics. Ophidia spathe...= infinite knives and dodges. Young ahamkara's spine....=knives...dodges and tripmines for days......you throw 3 knives...so if all 3 knives hit you recharge 1 whole tripmine...then you dodge...your dodge recharges because of burn from throwing knives....you throw tripmine...then knives...then another tripmine...dodge...etc. PS:::Young ahamkara's spine makes you immune to your own tripmines.

Yeah I do this in Gambit and literally only use weapons against the Prime and when Invading/Defending.
-
1 ReplyI figured this out literally day 1 when I was sorting thru my Vaulted armor. I immediately chose Way of Thousand Cuts as my first new tree, and like you said, it works hella good.

1 ReplyHave you guys seen skullfort and code of the missile for titan?
-
3 RepliesI see people talk about this combo a lot. I prefer young ahamkaras spine and gamblers dodge. Tripmines and knives for days. Really want to get my hands on the shards of galanor though.

WoTC also works wonders with both Ahamkara gauntlets. The fire counts as melee damage so sealed gives you an opportunity to spam rockets and tripmines do pretty high damage for a grenade so the more of those you throw the better

Been running Ophidia since I got my way of a thousand cuts. Brawler modifier makes it even better. Can clear every strike without firing a single bullet lol.
