This game looks amazing. I’m not gonna lie as an xbox player. Should I wait till Black Friday to cop a bundle, or does anyone know where to get a cheap console. It’s pretty much gonna be for this one game.
Edit: I did it. Ps4 and Spider-Man for $260. It also came with titanfall 2, madden, and a bunch of other games.

I would never recommend anyone buy a console solely for one game. As someone who beat it and loves it, its honestly about an 8.7. It doesn't do anything new or revolutionary, and there's definitely some flaws with writing, but it's still a great game nonetheless.

You should buy a Spiderman a PS4

2 RepliesEdited by KDA420: 9/21/2018 6:57:45 AMIt’s just a reskinned Arkham game

Pick up God of war aswell 👌 Horizon Zero Dawn is good and cheap now so worth picking up.
-
Wait until systems are on sale.

I think it’s a great idea to wait for Black Friday for a bundle. Last year I copped a slim ps4 and a 50” 4K tv for $300 at Best Buy.
-
It's an amazing game, I would buy a PS4 just to have it for other exclusives you might like (Thinking of getting an Xbox myself because I needs my GoW and Halo fix).
-
1 ReplyIf you are buying one just for Spiderman? You shouldn't get it. If you are buying for the other exclusives or games , then yes, you should get it. And if you have a 4k tv, go for the Pro. Or just get a Pro regardless of having a 4k tv or not. The Spiderman game is great. Just finished the main story, and am looking forward to 100% the game.

1 ReplyNot JUST Spider Man, but also Bloodborne, Uncharted, Last of Us, Horizon: Zero Dawn... It's pretty much the best time to jump on the PS4 right now.
-
4 RepliesNo game is worth effectively buying a console you already have. In you have an Xbox One, you don't need a PS4. And I've been a PS user since PS2, so that's not brand loyalty talking.
-
I'd get one for the other games available onu in that console, not just spidey. No one game is ever worth an entire console purchase, but if the console has other great games only available to it, then I would heavily consider it. So I would say yes you outgh of, and I'm willing to bet you can find some pros on the cheap around this time of the year too.

3 RepliesIt's probably best to invest in a PS4. Then the PSVR, and i believe there is Firewall: Zero Hour + Aim controller bundle going around.
-
Save it to buy the next round of consoles

Edited by TonyPartridge30: 9/17/2018 2:22:02 PMI'd never buy a console for just 1 game, no matter how good. However, PS4 has got some additional notable titles that would probably make picking one up worth it if you can afford two consoles.
-
PS4 has too many great exclusives to single out Spider-Man. Buy a PS4 for all of them. You should accept no more than $200 for a PS4. (or maybe up to $250 with the right bundle). That was the best deal last holiday season.
-
Look for good deals on a used one. Spider-Man is very well done. I’m enjoying it a lot, and I’m going to continue to enjoy the season pass.

Spider-Man is good, but not worth buying a new console over. If you've played the Arkham series, then you've pretty much experienced Spider-Man. I bought a PS4 on a whim and really regretted it afterwards, but then I forced myself to buy multi-plats on PS4 instead of XB1, which got me playing it a lot more, then some decent exclusives came out and now I really like it. But you basically have to make the jump from one console to the other until they have an equal amount of content to play to really make it worth actually owning 2 consoles, IMO. Also, if you prefer an asymmetrical controller (like the Xbox controller) for PS4, I recommend the Nacon Revolution. A little pricey, but it's really nice.

I wouldn’t buy it for one game. But if you’re also interested in all the other exclusives then go for it. Some of the best games this gen have been PS4 exclusives. Including my favourites: God of War, Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian - all of them fantastic games. There’s also The Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tsushima and Days Gone coming up. I’ve been 100% satisfied with my decision to go with PS4 this gen. Last gen I had PS3 and Xbox360 but this time I haven’t seen the need to get an Xbox.

Yes. But you should also buy the PS4 for Horizon Zero Dawn, Nioh, Ghosts of Tsushima, God of War, and all the other exclusives I haven't named. It's about to be Black Friday shopping so look for some good deals!!

Not just for Spider-Man, but if you want to play other ps exclusives like Uncharted or Horizon Zero Dawn in addition to Spider-Man then yes
-
The entire PS4 library is worth it

I definitely wouldn't buy an entire console for one game. If there's more games you would like at some point it would make sense. But to buy it just for spider Man? Doesn't seem worth it to me.
