Show Up - and Downvotes separately
I think the current indicator for upvotes of a post is bad. Having showing only 1 number (upvotes minus downvotes) tells me way to less about a post.
It would tell me way more about an interesting post if it shows like [510 up/500 down] instead of 10.
If it has a little bit more downvotes but overall over thousand, it still tells me that it probably has a point somewhere, instead of just showing a zero and looking like 100% of all people disagree.
And if it shows mostly downvotes, it tells me instant that it is probably a troll or just not even worth clicking it and it would get forgotten faster instead of showing up on top of the newest topics for days.

I think with the way it works, is that most of the time if you have a number greater than 0, your point is pretty solid. Think about it, if you have 500 people who downvote, but 510 who do upvote...its basically the same as just showing 10 upvotes that matter. To me at least, what matters most is comments. If you have a widely liked post, typically you get some comments agreeing with what you say. Same thing for negative.
