What's the best way to counter a shotgun?
In D1 the best method for me was fusion rifles. This time I don't think it's as consistent anymore. Sidearms are fine too but what do you use?
Edit: People who use telesto are evil OMG that thing's broken.

Use a 180 hand cannon i feel like those are gonna be meta or already are. Nature of the Beast, A Cold Sweat and Trust are energy ones or West of Sunfall 7 and service revolver

1 ReplySidearms are your best bet,you can tell Bungie balances them as anti-shotgun weapons as they kill stupid quick, especially if they have a full auto roll, our you could use a shotgun

Don’t be aggressive around corners, save a gnade for that one titan who bum rushes you with shoulder shotty. Stay on the outsides of a map. See red on the radar and your inside a building? Run, pull them out into the open. Throwing knife works, sidearm with full auto works to.

1 ReplyI use to run fusion rifles before 2.0 but then they got hit with a damage nerf that really affected their reliability and effective range. So after a bit of playtesting I've settled on 300 rpm sidearms which are right in the sweet spot for countering aggressive pushes. And honestly I think I'm playing better countering with sidearms than being aggressive with fusion rifles. I love it.

Sidearms. You can’t avoid them completely, but you can win 80% of the time .. I also love chaperone. It’s range catches most people off guard
