I don't want to be the buzzkill here, I know many of us don't want to see things nerfed but this, my dudes is ridiculous. It can one shot you from anywhere on the map, body or head it doesn't matter. The invading player can see your location which gives them time to charge it up and one shot you. How is this not considered broken?
I could "get gud" or whatever but getting good still does not make gambit fun if I have to be paranoid that every invader is running sleeper. Yes, I could run sleeper too. I could go around one shotting invaders and defenders all day but that still does not fix the issue. If the only way to counter sleeper is sleeper that's a problem. I'm not saying nerf sleeper into the ground but it needs some tweaks, it's just not fun playing Gambit anymore when there is such an easy way to dominate the field.
I know many of you will fire back at this post because a lot of you most likely love sleeper and use it yourselves. However, I really want you to take a step back and remove your bias to really look at this weapon and then give your opinion on it.

If you can't take losing in gambit, don't play gambit! Why try to ruin a great gun for everyone else? Your post is fuelled by selfishness. Either quit the game or quit crying nerf
-
They don't need to nerf or change it. It's easy to get so any can get it. It's only have been 9 days so far, but I guess that is enough time to say if nerfs are needed.

3 RepliesYou may kill me with the Sleeper but my tracking, cluster bomb Bad Omens is gonna get ya.
-
I agree 110% the sleeper dominates gambit too damn much. But alas ever bad player needs a crutch weapon to carry them through.

Edited by Locker: 9/14/2018 5:09:35 PMIf 4 people can’t stop one sleeper user, then what makes you think your gonna even win. Ffs take cover , don’t be in his line of sight and call out. It’s the dumb dumbs standing out wide open .

2 RepliesSleeper is fine. Gambit is fine but could use a few tweaks. Its the combination of all the over shield, being invisible to radar, and see through wall advantages that make the invader more op than the Sleeper. Other than a boss or a high ranking yellow, the Sleeper should one shot anything. Also, I find play with players with out brain cells more detrimental to Gambit than Sleeper too. Personally, I enjoy Gambit and look forward to playing it because its a nice break from the pve grind.

1 Replyliterally this doesn't need a nerf, just make it so that it needs a hs instead of body against guardians to one shot. It's literally the only hitscan weapon that can one-tap body.
-
Use snipers, I’ve gotten wrecked by good snipers when invading.
-
The fix to Gambit is simple. Instead of heavy spawning every 45 or 60 seconds . Just have one big crate like in D1 . Everyone has to run and get it. From there no more heavy. This will make everyone use there heavy wisely instead of spamming heavy every time someone goes into the other teams side. Enemies already don’t drop that much heavy anyway. Or just nerf the clip on the sleeper. Which would make it a little useless In other PvE activities.

3 RepliesSo what you’re saying is...... Nerf fusion rifles
-
I don't use it in gambit only pve and nerfing is not the answer, remove vision of players on intruders.
-
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.............Nerf u

1 ReplyIt's easy see you're getting invaded and pull out your sleeper works quite well
-
6 RepliesI’ve said it before... all of you crying for this to be nerfed are in for a real disappointment when it is. After that you’ll be getting sniped all over the place by this games highly skilled pvpers, because there’s still a decent amount of insanely talented pvpers still playing. At least now there is some recourse, you can shoot them back almost as easy as they can pop you with it. Unfortunately I’d imagine that since it’s easily the most whined about weapon right now, it will indeed get a nerf.

Edited by Ve7n00m: 9/14/2018 12:59:46 PMIt is hella annoying but people should be able to use what they want so you just gotta deal with it and use it yourself too! When you're invading, with the extra over shield Sleeper should 2 shot you not 1 shot
-
I agree. I don't want to see it getting nerfed dead or something, but if you look at ALL other weapon types in gambit, they seem to be balanced well. Gambit maps are way larger and open than crucible maps and getting kills with the sleeper here is way to easy. It's really obvious that the sleeper is just out of balance here and the definitely top choice for this mode.
-
6 RepliesI’d rather people be using the sleeper than spamming sniper shots.
-
Sleeper is fine. When someone invades I want them dead as fast as possible.
-
Sleeper needs to be left alone.
-
1 ReplyThere isn't many ways to change Sleeper for Gambit without straight up nerfing it. So instead of letting the invader have real-time tracking on all four players of the enemy team why not have "pings" of them every 1-2 seconds. Showing a "ghost" of them until the next ping. This way the Invader doesn't always know the exact time a defender peaks.

7 RepliesI personally think sleeper is fine. Unless you intend to be the one invading Everytime, it's really harsh to take up an exotic slot for a game mode like Gambit. Sure it can shoot far, but players know when theyre being invaded and it's up to them to find where the invader is coming from. Once you've played enough, you anticipate 3 different spots on each map. It's a bitch to dodge, but definitely not impossible.
-
Have to agree with you, it's just too good at everything in gambit and it seems to be the only weapon that is broken right now. Should probably not kill players without a headshot but leave players close to their death on a body shot or simply reduce the tracking on the defender while invading. There is quite a lot of way to tweak the weapon without killing it but I'd rather have a nerf that only affects the gun as it seems to be the main problem here.
-
1 ReplySleeper is the best chance everyone has against skilled snipers. If sleeper catches a nerf you will be bitching about high impact snipers, I guarantee it. It's a level playing field right now, and while you may not like the way it looks, it could be a lot worse.
-
1 ReplyJust make it require 2 body shots to kill players.1 headshot.its literally making people look much better then they really are.
-
How do people still not -blam!-ing get that you need both nerfs and buffs in order to maintain balance
