The game isnt fun and needs to be removed. If you gave us the option of selecting what game modes to play countdown would be dead last. Remove it please!

Dislike countdown. It is especially not fun for solo players because of no spawn. Sometimes, I just want to die and pass the match.
-
Countdowns my favorite. No respawns and rushing. If you ignore objectives you die.
-
2 RepliesIt's ok. Too many rounds imo. Going to 6 is crazy. Especially when the game is lop sided. Make it first to 4.
-
Yea normally I would say, “it’s competitive for a reason” but I can’t stand countdown. I would certainly not miss it if it was gone
-
Every fire team I’ve ever been on collectively sighs every time it comes up. And that hunter knives super breaks it.
-
Clash and control shouldn't be in comp lol
-
It’s not fun, it pushes people out of the comp playlist, and it shows up too much in the rotation if it’s going to stay.
-
Remove it please it is not fun sincerely, everyone at the community

Countdown is an okay gamemode, my problem with is since you only have life, a 4 stack will almost always rush 1 of the charges to get a kill or two, or just plant and set a trap, this start isnt as easy now that radar is back, but good damm will they try anyway
-
I would agree, because one kill or one mistake as a solo player you can’t come back to help your teammates chances of success. If you are playing against a four man team or even two man teams it’s very difficult to navigate and even the odds at winning. Lockdown should be in place of the countdown game mode because you have to out kill your opponents and you do have to worry about reviving teammates. It’s fast action gameplay and you can make more decisions against team play. The crucible labs is a great idea but bungie should implement lockdown because it was a lot fun. Another option would be to have individual playlist for competitive like clash, control, countdown, and lockdown all 4v4 playlist for competitive.

Edited by DamnImCam: 9/14/2018 3:54:29 AMWhy do people post these opinionated posts like theses. "No one likes Crucible, no one likes countdown, no one likes control..." that's you're opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. But asking for something to be removed cuz they dislike it is kinda absurd
-
Any time over played Survival they try to get1 up on my team and hide the rest of the game like raging p*ssies
-
Wrong.
-
My problem with it is that sometimes teammates forget to revive others
-
2 RepliesControl would be dead last. No one likes to stand around on a circle, they want to duel and fight to come out on top! Thats why bungie needs to bring back 3v3 skirmish and elimination!
-
I enjoy countdown, it's my favorite game mode, I just wish that the timer for bomb was maybe 10 seconds longer.
-
Wrong!
-
3 RepliesSalvage > Countdown.
-
2 RepliesAbsolutely agree, it’s practically survival with no lives. They should remove the objectives Funny enough it’s more difficult to carry also in count down than it is other game modes. You’re more inclined to win in a fireteam Hate it so much
-
Iv all ways hated countdown and hated rift in d1
-
At least reduce the amount of Countdown matches that come up. Such a boring mode.
-
I'd rather just play Glory-Based Matchmaking Control and Clash(though I believe non-objective gamemodes are terrible for competitive) than deal with SnD or Survival(AKA glorified Clash). Here's hoping for more respawn, obj. modes like Zone Control coming back, or getting gamemodes like CoD's Hardpoint, or Gears of War's Annex and/or King of the Hill. I'd even like Capture the Flag, though I feel like that mode would be broken on PC(though I'm not on that platform) due to Titan skating. Or for them to implement that Crucible Labs gamemode they tested once, Lockdown, into Competitive.

Speaking from game design, countdown is actually a pretty good game type. By incorporating objectives, a new dynamic is added beyond just killing enemies. Furthermore, you can have a general sense of where players will be (radar or no radar) as you typically don't want to be far from the bomb regardless of whether you're attacking or defending. It also fits in the competitive scene, being a more focused game type requiring team work.
-
No, countdown is a competitive mode it’s far better than going into competitive only to play control
-
I generally prefer countdown to survival as it promotes an initial push and then a degree of map control opposed to getting a single kill and backpedaling the rest of the game.
-
but I like 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown :(
