I found myself wasting a lot of time loading my map and looking where to go, like lost sectors

I'd love to be able to plant a "waypoint" on the map. Upvote for you.

2 RepliesThis is not needed. You might as well add a cruise control feature so you don't have to do anything.

16 RepliesYeah, as soon as they make content that is large enough that you will actually need it. Hmm, it's been 4 years already that it has never been "needed". So why waste time and resources on something that is not needed? Just so you can look at a dot that will take you 5 seconds to get to? Bungie has enough issues they have to deal with as it is. How about asking for something that is actually useful for the game that actually improves it. I don't need a dot to show me where I need to go and never will.

I'd love to be able to ping shit like in Siege

Bump for the love of Cayde lol. How was this not implemented at the start when they changed the whole map system from Destiny 2? It seems like a no-brainer....yes the maps aren't Skyrim large, but they're large enough to at LEAST add a mini map to the top, or like the posts says, let us add our own waypoints...
-
8 RepliesYep, still don't get why we can't add waypoints on the map. Having said that, the mini game of waiting for the map to load while I take unexpected fire always adds a sprinkle of excitement to things.

4 RepliesEdited by Lyrro: 9/13/2018 7:00:19 PMGuardian 1: "Which way?" Guardian 2: "One minute, still at black screen, map is loading." Guardian 1: "..." Guardian 2: "Alright, map says about 500 meters North." Closes map. Guardian 1: " It's about time. Which way is North?" Guardian 2: "Hold on, checking the map." Guardian 1: "..." Guardian 2: "Map is loading, still at black screen." Guardian 1: "Seriously?" Guardian 2: "Shut up. Alright... I can't really tell just looking at the map." Closes map and turns to his left before reopening the map, then does this again but turns right. Guardian 1: "What are you doing?" Guardian 2: "I don't have a compass so I have to look at the map and orient myself on the map so I know which way North is." Guardian 1: "What? Why didn't you bring a compass?" Guardian 2: "Why didn't you?" Guardian 1: "You're the warlock, you're supposed to be the smart one. Why cant you just turn with the map still open?" Guardian 2: "Shut up." Takes a few steps, then stops to check map. Guardian 1: "So, we go that way?" Guardian 2: "Hold on, map is loading. Still at black screen." Guardian 2: Leaves fireteam and returns to orbit. Guardian 3: Grabs loot from sector chest, chuckling. "Bet those two are still trying to figure out which way is North. Always follow the hunter."

Oh my Traveler would I love a custom waypoint system. Especially now with all the secrets (CATS!) in the Dreaming City. PLEASE.
-
Can I bump this?
-
Great suggestion that'll be in DLC 5 of Destiny 3.
-
Given it takes about 15 minutes for the map to load, it's quicker to just drive around on your sparrow until you stumble across whatever it is you were looking for
-
So much YES!
-
good idea

This!

Agree Way points are common in most games. My workaround it to choose an adventure point or something close to where I want to go and tag it. I can sort of understanding wanting us to explore but once you've found a Lost Sector, for example, you should be able to way point it.

5 RepliesJust here to remind everyone it took them 3 years to give us a map

On the topic os wasting time opening up menus, it would be nice to just integrate the milestones into the Milestone blade again. It's a pain in the ass to click through to every planet or activity to see what you have to do. OR, as a compromise, make it so you need only hover over the location or activity to see the milestones for it. Would also be nice to be able to track multiple bounties on-screen. Something fancier might be auto-displaying relevant bounties you can complete based on your class type, weapon loadout, and activity/location. For example, lets say you have a bunch of EDZ bounties, they all auto-track as you load into EDZ. Getting more specific, lets say you have a bounty related to Arc super kills, when you switch to arc spec, that bounty becomes auto-tracked on-screen, etc... Might take some time to develop but would be a nice quality of life feature to get away from having to navigate through your invtentory.

Better yet... just give us a proper minimap in the open worlds of PVE.
-
You know what that would be pretty cool, but I think the way you worded it was different. They should add the ability to custom way-point so only you and your fire-team can see where do go and it would be easier than dealing with the black screen as you stated.
-
Bingo. And maybe if they're nice (and less sadistic) they'll let us track MORE THAN ONE BOUNTY at a time.

Edited by Xc_LuxZenRa: 9/12/2018 2:58:45 PMWe need the Ui to be a lot faster. ..this slow to load thing is annoying af. It messes with my eyes....i expect to se certsin things and it's still loading..like really bungie.

2 RepliesHow about ghosts also show lost sectors for a start?
-
Yes that would be so nice
