To everyone with a shred of honesty and integrity otherwise known as CHEATING. Bungie has just made it official there is no reason to play by the rules and not cheat glitch and exploit everything you can. At least we all know where we stand now. Fair play has no place at Bungie or in Destiny. Have fun and use all the hacks and cheats you want. There will be ZERO consequences.
To everyone who is cool with this; dress it up in whatever language you want justify it however you can. Just remember the next time you drop your wallet, leave your door unlocked, whatever the case my be its YOUR fault. It's not cheating for them to take what you left lying around. Your the reason I keep my door locked at night. I'm sure a thief feels as justified as you do.

1 ReplyIf you're 520 and up farm 100 prime engrams, they'll still all be 525 or however it works. Really doesn't seem worth it to me when I've hit 544 just grinding milestones and gambit. Or are you talking about the possible raid drop bungie let them glitch in to? I know I'm not amazing so anyone with a really good fire team could have easily hit 560 grinding gambit or crucible.

To all the stupid people claiming getting gear before Bungle makes it available isn't cheating/exploiting. https://youtu.be/iPk0bAx15Cs The ignorant justifications of some of this community's posts are mind bogglingly dumb. I've decided to stop responding to those who refuse to be intellectually honest about the reality of this type of cheating in a LOOTER SHOOTER. Your excuses for your behavior can be related back to real life. The rest of us with a shred of integrity look on in disgust and amazement that you think it's ok.

1 ReplyI mean they banned people who glitched to get through the Redrix's Broadsword quest. so..... they arent going to ban people for going outside of the map, and getting non-powerful drops that will be released later this week. If people get out of map, that's on Bungie, not the player.

2 RepliesWell a glitch is no hack or cheat so... i personally want to wait til the raid comes out. But it is sad that those ppl who did glitched into the raid ruined it for us, in the way that your not special now when you got raid gear or weapons. They will say "oh look he glitched into the raid aswell" lol

54 RepliesEdited by Eru Ellimist Entreri™: 9/11/2018 5:43:38 PMYou obviously have no experience in game or content development. As I told you yesterday, a hole in a map is not cheating. Exploring outside of said hole isn't even glitching. If the devs didn't want you to walk on something it wouldn't be walkable. Plain and simple. There are settings that determine if a player can walk or even stand on every static mesh (read any part of a map) in the game. The fact that a dev either intentionally left said hole, or just overlooked that one portion of the map (maybe? I doubt it though... as a mapmaker myself I personally check and check and check every single static mesh I place) and players subsequently explored what was beyond it is just something that happens in games. It may be out of the actual map, but unless you have to actually use a 3rd party tool beyond glitches in the game (see the Sparrow Wall Breach from D1 - and even in that instance nobody got banned for going into Kings Watch early to get the ghost shell, the only ban was a person using third party tools to mod in a different ghost shell) to do something, it isn't wrong just because your personal opinion is too narrow to grasp the concept. Your argument that this is the equivalent of theft is absolutely 100% invalid, and your continued attempts to put down others further degrades the integrity of your initial series of arguments from yesterday. The perks in question on the items are equal to those you can attain on the Reverie Dawn set, and as previously stated by others replying the items were all dropping below current power level therefore were NOT classified as powerful gear. At this point I fully expect the hole in question to have a nice shiny new rock over it coming soon once the devs have time to add a new static mesh (& hopefully another Easter Egg like they did at the original loot cave in D1) & compile the map to a new patch due to the incredibly blown out of proportion outrage that you and others that share your incredibly narrow viewpoint have decided to spew since this became public knowledge. I hope one day your knowledge of at least the game design process grows enough to have at least a basic understanding of how and why things like this happen, but at this point I find that highly unlikely as you seem to be more concerned with how loud and angry you have to be to punish others for something that doesn't directly impact you rather than increasing your own understanding of the world around you. Edit: corrected spelling and grammar of you & understanding (previously yoh & understand) near the end.

4 Replieswtf is wrong with you people? waaahhhhh someone saw it before me and got some gear with no perks that I don't have waaaaahhhhhh! you cheaters! waaaaahhhhh stfu it has nothing to do with you, your game play, your loot, you anything. play your game and get your loot, worry about only what's on your screen. that's the only game that matters for you...

2 RepliesMore like they’re ok admitting they effed up the level geometry and collision (not to mention QA) and they’re choosing not to penalize curious players. I’m fine with that. You what, see a bridge and some rocks and a chest? Some players got raid gear and weapons before we did? Shit man, that was going to happen to me anyway, I’m good with it.

Bungie is a liberal company. They don’t believe in punishment. Only rehabilitation. Cheating is a way of life if you are a liberal. Just like Hillary cheated Bernie out of the Democratic nomination.

Jesus Christ, stop being a Pusey
-
Okay, firstly can we all stop comparing this to stealing? It’s a video game not a -blam!-ing bank. Secondly, who cares? So what if they don’t get “punished”? It doesn’t affect you. It doesn’t affect your gameplay experience. Don’t say it’s unfair or cheating, because cheating would mean they would have an advantage over you. There was no advantage. Everyone could’ve gotten out of the map and received the loot. Besides, even if these people got the loot taken away, they would just get it back Friday. Stop being a cry baby over a goddamn video game. No one is stealing from anyone and bungie is not okay with cheating. They probably realize it’s their bad for not checking for the hole, and figured there’s no reason to punish others for their mistake.

A glitch is an oversight at the mistake of the developer. It is more their fault than ours. At least bungie can acknowledge that and they patch accordingly. Cheating is doing something outside the confinds of the regular game, like network tampering to get an edge in the crucible or kick people from the game, ruining their experience. Which they do rolling bans for. Glitching is a moral gray area, where as cheating is a bannable offense. Never confuse the two.

Edited by TheArtist: 9/12/2018 11:21:30 AM1. Its a game. 2. In PVE, the people who are using exploits are ultimately only ruining their own experience of the game. 3. Those who glitched into the raid will only have a very slight advantage in that they will know some aspects of the layout. They won't know anything about the fights or the mechanics. 4. Those using the prime engram exploit are actually hurting themselves in the long run because they will get fewer drops in upcoming weeks. 5. This is Bungie's style. They deal with the use of exploits in PVE by simply removing our ability to make use of them from the game. In PVP they'll take the activity offline unitl they can fix it if its a glitch....but if you screw around with the network or make use of external programs, then they ban you. ....and right now there are lot of little snowflakes who cheated in Comp. Playlist last season to get Redrix's Claymore who are really unhappy right now.

To everyone with a shred of honesty and integrity otherwise known as CHEATING.
you mean not CHEATING?

6 RepliesLUL looks like someone missed bungie swinging the ban hammer last week XD there were THOUSANDS of cheaters that were banned from network manipulation in trials and comp you know ..... actual cheating, from which they got a ban from the game and all their weapons stripped from them hence the redrix broadsword but the difference here is that while it is true bungie left the door open but it could also be used to generate more hype for the raid, as most people did it out of curiosity. and as for thes glitches, i don't care, im fine waiting for the raid, i don't care about "worlds first" i just want to do it when i get the chance, even if it takes multiple attempts. its something bungie didnt think of happening, like nine people from the same clan getting into the same instance on mars while not on the same fire team.

You don't want to ban the last dumb streamers still playing this crap now, wouldn't ya 😂😂

Edited by RokNBrokN: 9/12/2018 4:38:05 AMWoah woah woah, chill out there. The three examples that come to mind being, Blind Well Telesto cheese, and glitch into the raid and then various crucible cheaters. Blind well cheese probably wouldn't be trackable in a fair manner because some people could legitimately be using telesto. The raid glitch I would just think of the first person to do the glitch (or those who stumbled upon it). Do they deserve to be banned for picking up a chest Bungie could've just disabled? To me ,no. Finally with crucible it should be addressed more frequently but cheating isnt too common. Minor edit, I haven't done any of these glitches.

6 Replies"Show me on the doll where the chest glitchers touched you..."

Yes & No...They are confused (No Big Surprise There) as to what actually constitutes an exploit or how to deal with it appropriately. It's Ok to exploit this, but not this. Seriously.??
-
They have always held this belief. Dating back to Halo 2 super bouncing. They didn't ban anyone for it.

To Op, last night I tried to go into a Gambit match, it loaded me in the dome (starting room), with no one there. At the bottom left of my screen I can see what the two teams are doing in the match. At the top of my screen is the two bars showing mote collection. I can hear the gambit dude talking about new spawn locations, etc. Yet I am stuck in the starting room, no one there, just me. I run around, I jump into the walls, shoot my gun, emote, everything I can do to try and get unglitched out of the starting room. I press the button on my controller to show the teams in the bottom right, and sure enough it shows me on the team. Meanwhile the team I am on is getting crushed because there really is only three of them becasue I am still in the starting room. After four or five minutes the game all of sudden boots me out for inactivity? It then pops up that I have left a Gambit match and could be penalized for it. So my question to you is, who's fault was that? Did Bungie cheat by helping the other team win with only three players? Should I have Gambit penalties for being put into a situation I did not cause? Your so easy to point out about players glitching, but what about when Bungie's errors cause cheating without the gamer cheating. If bungie can glitch me in a room for part of match and then kick me out of the game for inactivty, then warn me about penalties, I have no problem picking up a raid chest that the didn't properly code. Get off your high horse.
-
Probably because Clan Redeem all have done this and are also doing the Prime Engram exploit so they can get Worlds First with Bungies help and all the other live comments. Honestly, You shouldn't have any help at all.

1 ReplyYeah, how dare these scumbags wallbreak into/glitch the Raid! It’s completely unprecedented and had never happened in the history of Destiny! Other than Vault of Glass. And (prolifically) Crota’s End. And King’s Fall. And (viscously) Wrath of the Machine.

Take a good look guardians! Ignorance at it's finest.

Yeah. I didn’t expect anyone to be banned from the game over it, but it is pretty sad that they aren’t locking out the gear that was obtained by it. I had several opportunities to go in and grab it, but passed because it seemed like a shitty thing to do.

Jesus, I haven’t seen this much salt in awhile lmao .
