This is proving annoying. Just wondering if anyone had tips on how to get invader kills with a handcannon a little easier? I have 1 so far.
Everyone just uses the sleeper and sits back. By the time I find them i’m usually smoked.
Mostly looking for tips on locating them quicker? Is there a method to where the spawn in or is it all random?

I really didn’t like using sturm and drang, but it’s mostly down to personal preference. Try a precision frame handcannon for use at slightly longer ranges. I used West of Sunfall 7, but apparently The Old Fashioned is good. Also remember that you can weaken the target with grenades and melees first.

Sturm and Drang, use Drang to overload Sturm and than switch to Sturm when someone invades.

Sturm and drang Overcharge the sturm 3 tap Using the crimson is a dumb idea

Use Crimson, find cover when an invader arrives & look for the red ether trails that surrounds them. Try to target from a distance. Alsi its best to team shot if you have a fireteam or just stick with teammates.

There are a couple spots the invader can spawn in but in general it will be the opposite side of the map to your own spawn. Unless they are already engaging your team they will likely still have their over-shield so hit them with your special/heavy first and then switch to HC to finish them off.

1 ReplyWhen you get invaded you need to stop thinking like you're playing PVE....and start playing open-world PVP. 1. Learn the arenas. The Invader is gong to spawn in a limited number of areas. Learn the general area where those are.... it will simplify your search for the Invader. 2. Learn to read the Invader's behavior. If they're hanging back...then realize they're either sniping or picking people off with Sleeper. If they're pushing aggressively expect either a shotty, a rocket launcher or a super. 3. Learn how to use cover effectively. The goal isn't to "hide"....the invader can see where you are. The goal is to severely limit the number of directions from which you can be shot....and the ranges from which they can't shoot at you. I had a really good team yesterday limit me to one kill on an invasion that should have been a team wipe. I caught them all bunched up...and had my super and Sleeper out. But they all ran like rabbits to a corner of the map that forced me to chase after them in order to get a firing angle....and I only managed to kill one of them by the time my 30 secs ran out. Smart play. 4. Decide on a strategy. Once you haven't been picked off in the first few seconds of the invasion. a. Are you going to try to take cover and defend where you are? OR b. Are you going to seize the initiative and start hunting the invader. I'm personally finding that the second approach suits me. If you hang back with a hand cannon, odds are you're just going to get wrecked with either a super, a rocket...or other OHK weapon delivered from beyond your weapon's range. Btu if you ADVANCE INTO COVER (that is make effective use of cover while moving...to limit your own visibility). You take control of the encounter away from the Invader and increase yoru own chances of getting a kill. One of my quest step kills was a guy I ran down, and caught him from the blind side just as he was finishing up a team mate. Took him out like 2 seconds before the game was going to pull him back.

I found that up close and personal was my friend for this. If you try to fight at range you’ll get sleeper/sniper to the face. Also if you’re playing in a team and they’re trying to help ask them to bunch up so you can flank and get the drop on them. They have an over shield so even a good pvp player will struggle to win a straight up gunfight.

Sturm and drang Maybe trying 4 stacking. Push out the primieval first so that you can farm invaders that come in. And occasionally hope the invader isnt your average Sleeper/ Sniper invader.

2 RepliesSturm and drang combo.

1 ReplyFor me, I just immediately kind of jump up and check the spawns. The sleeper is a constant threat but I was super fortunate to have three games where the invader didn’t use it.

2 Repliesthey usually jump high into the air to get a look of where people are so in that time body shot them with a sniper then rush and finish with a hand cannon
