So yeah, that's a thing... not sure how to feel about this.
Actually I do know how I feel about this. Kinda annoyed and pissed really.
This pushes directly into Pay to Win if you can buy an exotic instead of grinding and earning it... or waiting till the actual exotic vendor to show up and using currency earned in game.
"Why grind and hope you get a drop... and not get it- when you can spend actual money for it? Why earn in game currency that you may or may not want to spend so you can use it on other things... when you can use actual money?"
Tess being cosmetic junk and having low chances to drop the armor she has... isn't really pay to win given that you'd have to spend a MAJOR amount of money to get 'perfect rolls' on her armor... and that's all on you if you wanna do that.
But this new vendor? Being able to directly buy a 500 light One-Eyed Mask for Titans with actual real money... Being able to buy the Oathkeepers for Hunters with actual money? I'm sorry but that is pushing over the line from "Eh not really pay to win..." to full on paying to win.
But maybe there's a reason for it... maybe the Korean government see's the loot system in Destiny as gambling? I know a lot of gambling laws were passed down for gaming... so maybe this is Bungies answer? I don't know... I actually wanna know, what is the reason for this vendor? Why Korea?
What I hope we don't see... is this new vendor just selling god roll weapons and armor just cause some laws.

Yeah. - their D2 version will most likely be the equivalent of Fortnite and Call of Duty's angry love Child.

4 RepliesThis is only because of the shitty as hell standards in Korea for MMO games and gaming in general. Practices like buying exotics are common, so of course the Korean eververse will mirror that. It’ll never happen in the West because of how opposed to p2w consumers are here.
