Crowd boos Japanese winner of US Open
So what do you all think? 20 year old Naomi Osaka beats Serena Williams in the US Open and is the first Japanese person to ever win it. At the awards ceremony the crowd boos her, she starts crying, recovers then the president of the league, or whatever she is, says "perhaps it wasn't the finish we were looking for....." and gives far more praise to Serena than the actual winner, calling her a champion of all champions.
And apparently before all this she had said it's been her childhood dream to be there.......

Both Venus and Serena were called horrible names at Wimbledon and Australian Opens when they first started winning. Eventually, it all calmed down and now it only happens occasionally.

4 RepliesMcEnroe once smashed a tennis ball into the stands and hit a fan because he was mad at the chair ump and the line judge. He was only fined $2100. Serena freaks out and she is fined $17000.

3 RepliesI think she was booed because of the circumstances in which Serena lost. There was a lot of controversy around this "coaching" incident from the stands and Serena ended up having an entire game taken from her after she bitched about a point being deducted.

More importantly serena gets caught cheating and throws a tantrum at the umpire. NZ news calls it sexist cause "the umpire can't handle a woman speaking sharply to him" What a pathetic state the world is in atm.

5 RepliesPoor girl... And tennis is supposed to be classy. Surprised they didn't start chanting "USA" or some shit (or did they? I'm too tired to watch the video). Also, Idgaf about Serena's record as a player, she is extremely overrated, more so than Maria Sharapova.
