Aside from the seed you can get to unlock another super, it doesn't seem like there is anything to get other than blue gear and more dark fragments that you can spend to get charges to get more fragments. (Doesn't seem logical to spend 30 fragments to spend 10 minutes to end with 6 fragments). Does the T4 have some higher loot or is that just all there is to it?

I'm level 590+ and I have run tier IV about 8 times after bounty completion. I have received 10 Dark Shards every single time with no variance. Dark Shards which are used to purchase the charges you need to start up the Blind Well in the first place. For whatever reason Bungie (or possible activision) only want you to be rewarded for bounty completion the actual activity itself yields no rewards. In my opinion this is unhealthy game play. I have many complaints about the bounty system, but the primary complaint being it holds the game back. As a player, you play the bounties. You're not playing the game. You experience some of the game by pursuing the bounties but you are not encouraged to revisit the game for a week. What this boils down to is a game that gets you to play for months and months at a time, but only once or twice a week. It's a curious design. Similar to daily log in bonuses in mobile games. Seems immature to me. TLDR: All tiers of Blind Well only drop the currency used to play the Blind Well as reward for completing the Blind Well. Unless you have the weekly bounties.

I was playing with some people (im level 511) and they were all higher. We kept doing the tier 3 and they all got amazing loot, i think there was 2-3 exotic drops. But i got nothing except for dark fragments, my theory is that i could damage all the enemies up until we beat the 3 ogres at the end, the final big ogre and all the rest of the minions (all light level 580 aka too high for me) i couldnt damage. We thought that maybe i couldnt get good loot because i wasnt high enough level. we did the tier 2 and i got some blue loot, which is still loot. Can anyone confirm, or am i just the most unlucky person in the world

Well tbh there is a unstable offering maybe that does but my guess is it going to be insanely hard
-
Blind well is mostly for the bounties (until we are high enough for tier 4).

6 RepliesIf Tier 3 is 560, then why doesn't it drop gear up to 560?? Bungie be dumb.
-
1 ReplyIt might be that the higher levels we haven’t gotten to yet have the gear drops from the chest, just a theory. I’ve grinded some level 2 and legendary gear as well as prime engrams do seem to be dropping from normal enemies. I’ve also heard completions give you a prime attunement buff that increases the drop chances of prime engrams.

1 ReplyHonestly guys do you really think theres going to be nothing. Eventually as we progress and advance in level, and the dreaming city changes, there will probably be new rewards coming out of the woodwork. Especially in the Blind Well. Out of the previous arena experiences in Destiny, The Blind Well is most similar to the Court of Oryx. We may yet see collectibles associated with it, maybe an armor set, an exclusive weapon. Maybe even part of the Thousand Voices and Wish Ender quests. Since we don't have artifacts anymore, we could see exclusive ghosts and other vanity items.

Ikr, Archon’s forge was amazing but they regressed back to CoO.
-
It can reward you more well charges and you can get legendary gear and exotics from the chest. Just last night I was doing it and another guy got a Telesto. I think I've picked up a Prime engram from it before too.
-
In Court of Oryx, only the one who actually activated it got some better loot. It’s probably the same, I don’t know..
-
Chest have a high chance to drop well charges as well. Think of it like the Court of Oryx. Each lower level is a step toward the higher level.

Bungie : 37 activities, and all give two tokens and a blue.. there is a reason why Amazon sells this shirt (I have one from my wife ^^)
-
4 RepliesHad 4 prime engrams over the time it took to do 20 events. Not a bad return really.
-
5 RepliesYeah... Makes me miss when bungie enjoyed making something rewarding... Like archons forge and forge of souls. You could spend an afternoon at one of those and come out with some great stuff. Secret armor sets. Weapons that only dropped there. Also it wasn't so hard that randoms couldn't figure it out with some effort. These new public event zones like escalation protocol and now the blind well just feel like more raider candy.

3 RepliesThis is the forsaken end game. You grind materials that you then turn into fewer and/or different other materials. That and you increase the power level on your year 1 gear because drop rates and rng in destiny 2 forsaken are literally the worst in any game I’ve ever played, and I played the division and destiny 1 both at launch.

2 RepliesEdited by Razgriz: 9/10/2018 10:17:38 PMThe only issue i have with Forsaken right now is how shallow the loot pool is compared to other iterations of Destiny. I thought blind well AND ascendant realm would both have their own loot, not just the dreaming city loot all lumped in together.
-
They might tie specific armor and weapons to it or something, like escalation protocol. If they don’t, then they definitely should
-
3 RepliesWe can only assume tier 3 will drop good loot
-
Edited by Ravontulet: 9/10/2018 1:41:10 PMThe blind well activity is fun, but after a couple of waves.... it gets boring fast. and there's no reward, there's no reason to do it, except for the subclass reward or a quest step
-
Seed of Light, prime engrams, bounties for powerful gear, crystals to buy bounty and raid modifier. It gives those things.
-
Just no loot for you
-
I made two runs back to back, the first I joined in progress and got blue loot and materials, the second run I deposited my token and came out with a legendary class item and materials. Maybe loot matters if you are the one spending the token, kind of like Archons Forge in Rise of Iron?
-
In my limited experience it seems to be a ok way to get the potion things and it seems to give a higher chance at prime engrams. Not worth buying the things tho. Even tier 3 gives crap. The mysterious tier 4 I don’t think anyone even knows how to activate
-
5 RepliesThe tier 3 is 560 light so you can't even damage the enemies until you're 520. I'm guessing tier 4 is 600. I don't think there are enough players at those levels yet.
