Compensation for our lost offering to the oracle??!

If you guys agree that we should get something as a compensation vote up so that bungie see it before the weekly reset

    Hi there, I understand the frustration about losing the offering, but [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211]as part of our policy[/url], Bungie does not replace in-game items that are lost, or discarded.

    • This happened to me this week , I'm new so I didn't immediately try to turn in the offering. I did attempts on the ascended challenge but couldn't platform to save my life (this was Friday last week) didn't think much of the offering so I logged off and came back online , I never saw it in my inventory but I did get it when I turned in the quest on my side indicators. Sucks, lost 40 shards by not doing quest and also 'lost' 40 shards doing quest. There's still a bug about it, hopefully it gets addressed . I don't mind grinding but it may wear on my patience if other bugs happen to delete my rewards (no, inventory was not full) I'm 600 light so just looking for traits !!!

    • What are you all crying about so much over this? It’s an Oracle Offering....it’s not as if that’s going to do anything to level you up... All you’ll receive from the offering is a weapon/armor lower than you current level. This is an extremely miniscule loss. As long as the bounty completed, then so what? You still get the weekly Petra bounty finished, and that’s all you need anyway lol. You’re literally compaining and demanding compensation for something you lost, that would not have benefitted you very much at all. You might have possibly gotten a weapon/armor with a better roll than one you already have. Woah....better make a post complaining and demanding that Bungie owe me compensation!! 🙄 Blind Well literally takes maybe 30 mins to complete anyway. If that was “valuable time” you lost, then why the heck were you playing in the first place??? If it’s valuable time, don’t waste it playing a game. You millenials really do feel entitled to everything lol grow up and accept the very miniscule loss

    • I lost my offering today, trying to level up my 2nd character. I am wasting valuable time doing this, taking time that should be spent with family... this is not acceptable. Now, I am afraid I will loss my 3rd character offering too... So, Bungie solve this...! We demand a new offering or a 600 light weapon instead..

      • This happened to me, but I did get credit towards my weekly bounty. It is just such a grind to get that bounty done in the Well and then to loose it thinking it would go to your postmaster like everything else when your inventory is full is very disappointing. Lesson learned.

        You know, as someone with experience in coding/scripting as well as 2d and 3d modelling/animation experience I can say from experience that "sht happens". It's easy to screw up and often difficult to fix a screw up. I've accepted that bugs are going to occur... but as I have said before, I'm going to call Bungie out on their policy of screwing up, posting a copy paste "we're listening", and completely ignoring those players who were negatively impacted. Honestly, most of the time I don't want the compensation. As I said earlier, I have experience in my pocket and I know how easy it is to screw up and how hard it can be to fix, but Bungie really pushes the limits of my patience on this topic. There have been too many instances where the screw up was on their end, or as with exp throttling while selling exp boosters deliberate decisions were made, that resulted in players getting ripped off or scammed. It is exceedingly rare for Bungie to warn players in game when these types of things occur but they always follow up with the same copy pasted responses while pretending that noone was negatively impacted. I don't want compensation. I just want Bungie to admit they screw up on occasion and for once aknowlege that those screw ups do often screw people over... and the phrase "we're listening" better not pop up anywhere in that post because it's already been long established that you don't.

      • I know this is a problem that many are facing (lost offering) and I also know that there are many low lives on here that will reply to this in a negative way, but I will explain to Bungie and all of those people why it is so important to get the offering back. If you actually are grinding Forsaken to complete the raid within the first 24-hours, you want to gain power level as fast as possible, and losing the offering takes away two possible powerful engrams you can earn putting you at a disadvantage. Another reason why this is so important (a reason many people don't know about), the completing of this step in Forsaken unlocks the quest step for the ascendant realm. Completing this pursuit will give you an armor mod which buffs your damage in the dreaming city. This buff is substantial, but so far we can only get one mod until hopefully next week we are able to get another one through another ascendant quest. If the raid is in the dreaming city, then we will be able to do more raid damage, which helps us with the raid even more. Since losing the offering makes it to where you can't get this armor mod, it puts us at another disadvantage. We should at least have gotten it back in the postmaster or something, but now according to the Bungie private policy, we can't get it back. I and many others are asking Bungie, please just give us our offering back. Upvote if you want your offering back and if you have your offering or just don't care don't downvote it is irrelevant to you.

        • For real. Have been playing level 2 well for about 2 hours to farm seed and didn't get it. But I was happy anyway because I knew I would be able to activate the oracle and then this. Just frustrating. This is exactly the kind of things why I quit playing the other expansions.

            • All they need to do is to make it availble to obtain the offering again - im not accepting this bug as a lost weekly! We want this solved till monday so we can finish it! it shouldnt be so damn hard

              • Same here, cashed in the bounty and no offering, not lost not discarded just bugged and never showed up At least we’ve bought it to their attention but their reply shows how they are gonna approach this Palm it off as our mistake and just glaze over it and hope we forget 👌🏻

                • I can't believe they're refusing to compensate people for this. This is a huge issue with the game that they failed to make anyone aware of, and now they're saying it's our fault because we "lost or discarded" it? No. Screw you, Bungie. I was just starting to like you again with Forsaken, and I wouldn't even mind if the response was something like, "Oh yeah, we screwed up, sorry, we'll replace what you lost." But to say that fixing their own mistake is against their policy and to blame it on the players is disrespectful. I say again, screw you, Bungie.

                  • It isn't even a postmaster thing. Mine wasn't full. My consumables weren't full. The problem is that if you have more than one offering in your inventory, it will consume the whole lot when you offer the offering. So I had 2 claimed. Got 2 rewards on one character. The other is sol for the offering bounty. This is 100% a problem.

                    • Definitely want a fix for this. I stayed up super late finishing that bounty and my full inventory is my fault, but your postmaster bug is not. Please be better than your Activision overlords, Bungie. Be better. Help us keep faith.

Its bungies fault for not making sure the bugs were out of the game before release.not our fault.to say such a thing that that is our policy yadda yadda yadda when u have so many unsatisfied customers is poor customer service in my opinion.we are not asking for something that cant be done or not reasonable.we are asking for what we paid for and bungie failed to deliver.freeing up inventory space or not its a issue weither u do it or not.then you wonder why people stop playing destiny and you loose money.maybe you should listen to your customers more and work to make your customer base happy.reasonible request only.if it was our issue then i completely understand no compensation but because it was yours thats no right.i love destiny and so far have done over 500 hrs on destiny 2 but after destiny 2 if this is the way you treat your customers i will no longer buy a game from bungie.that is my view

                    • I reported Bungie's reply as disrespectful because it is. I encourage everyone to do the same. Their policy makes sense when the loss occurs by the fault of the player or uncontrollable network issues, but not when it is a failure of the developer to properly code and QA. They have acknowledged the bug at least, but now they need to acknowledge the fact that their policy should not apply in this case and that those of us affected should be rightly compensated. At the very least, reset the bounties for us so we can complete them again before the reset or give us the engram drops as if we had completed them bug free.

Btw can't complete her weekly bounty either now so two for one (didn't have time to do the daily's till today and need 8) Either take it out or fix it. Don't let people get effected by your dirty bug over and over without fixing it.

                          I never received any offering. I can't complete the quest now. I didn't discard or lose an item it never appeared in my inventory. Please remedy the situation Asap. There seem to be many others in the same position.
