Was doing the Ascendant Challenge and actually managed to destroy the last crystal. Right after the last crystal broke, I tried to dodge a knight but got one hit by him. I had the lore pop up saying that I completed the Ascendant Challenge, but my bounty never completed. As I understand it, I should have also been able to open a chest with some gear if I had lived. I missed out on the gear as well. When I left the ascendant realm, I also no longer had the option to return to complete the activity, as it the portal had vanished (I was still ascendant). I have not had a chance to go back and see if I can try to complete the challenge again for the bounty.
