Why though
Edit: I'm just saying, One Eyed Mask gives you a full health bar, an over shield, a damage buff, tracking AND bonus super energy. That seems PRETTY BUSTED.
The argument that it lasts only 7 seconds or whatever is completely void because the map design in this game is garbage and HEAVILY geared toward CQC, on top of that most of the maps in D2 are designed for 4 players not 6. So in Quickplay you end up having 12 people running around seeing someone around every corner, and you once you get 1 kill (WHICH ISNT HARD) you'll UNDOUBTEDLY see another person within that time. And you're gonna win that fight unless you literally put your controller down because you have an overshield AND full health.
I'm just saying, Wormhusk was OP but this is equivalent to the Wormhusk on steroids.

Edited by polarapfel: 2/12/2019 11:33:24 PMI don't get the complaints. 1. There's always been plenty of "broken", "OP" exotics or even built-in abilities for hunters and nobody ever seemed to complain about these because literally everyone and their mom would be hunters in crucible. Hunter has ALWAYS been 'easy mode' in crucible and continues to be in spite of OEM. 2. It's the first time you see more and more titans in crucible (on console). I like the more varied gameplay, not having to deal with mostly hunters, some warlocks and rarely any titans. I actually prefer playing against more titans with OEM than being constantly solo blade barraged or dying twice in a row to the same hunter within a single Spectral Blade super due its ridiculous long duration. Bring on the OEM titans, I prefer them any day of the week. 3. You get a screen notification when you're marked. So you should know you need to change the way you engage someone with OEM when you're in that situation. BTW, hunters have similar mechanisms as class ability (Nightstalker, Hunted debuff), there are mechanics for warlocks to see through walls and around corners - this is not a new mechanic and there are ways to deal with it. An OEM Titan with a mark on a target can easily end up getting distracted by his marked target and miss the threat from unmarked opponents rushing him as he focusses on his marked target. As a marked target, you can make use of your team mates and fall back behind them, essentially leading the OEM titan into a trap. It works, even in Quickplay without verbal communication with other team players. Just read the situation and act. 4. There are hardly any titan exotics other than OEM that match the choices available for hunters or warlocks. Don't mention Ursa Furiosa - they're so easily defeated when you know someone has them - don't fire at them. As simple as that. On console, where titan-skating is not available, you can ALWAYS outrun a Titan super. A titan super has a maximum of two shield throws and a shield throw requires skill to hit anything - I dodge half the shields thrown at me. And they still need to survive their own super duration to get the super energy from blocking. And by the way, if they block and tank direct damage from other supers, that does not recharge their super energy. 5. And speaking of supers, Titan supers (exception is Sun Breaker) are not even close in balance to Hunter or Warlock supers. The duration of Spectral Blades? Outright ridiculous. It's the most dominant super in crucible for a reason - it's OP. Like I said, there's NOTHING more frustrating and demotivating than dying to the same Spectral Blades once, then respawning and dying to the same super again before it runs out. Even after the nerf, Nova Warp is still more powerful than any Titan super. Blade Barrage? Takes literally no skill at all. Blade Barrage even effortlessly destroys Ward of Dawn and its Titan with an OEM overshield in the bubble. 6. There are other mechanics in crucible that I find somewhat more irritating than OEM or any class ability/super: pinnacle weapons like Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten. It takes a lot of effort (skill, time, coordination with like-minded and able team players) to acquire these weapons. So, not every player will be able to get them, not necessarily because they're less skilled, but for the simple reason they are casual players, solo players unable to invest that much time and team coordination in competitive. There's nothing wrong with the concept of more powerful pinnacle weapons that reward skilled players - for playing skillfully. Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten do not require you to play (more) skillfully compared to your opponent as their pinnacle perk procs for simple body shots. Based on equal skill, someone with Luna's Howl will even win their gun fight against another player rocking an ordinary hand cannon of the same archetype, even if the opposing player lands a headshot - a Luna's Howl will still kill that player faster with three ordinary, unskilled body shots. The issue of these unbalanced pinnacle weapons in Quickplay is far more annoying to a casual solo player than losing a gunfight to someone based on an exotic or class ability/super that is available to every player on equal terms (RNG luck being considered equally available). Think about it.

18 RepliesThank God all you nerf herders are trash and incompetent. Titans actually have a broken exotic but the nerf herders are to incompetent to know its existence.
-
9 RepliesWormhusk was buffed due to its change, read those notes my guy
-
2 RepliesThe thing is, The One Eyed Mask relies on pre-existing gun skill to activate the perk. If you can't hit your shots, you wont get the kill. With the Wormhusk Crown, you could just double-tap B or whatever and you'd get all your health back. No skill required for Wormhusk.
-
it's just bungie catering to one specific group of players like they always do. there's nothing we can do about it, same with all the shotgun pussies running around in crucible right now.

Edited by OffSync: 9/10/2018 2:23:57 PMthe one eyed mask is the masterworked wormhusk with steroids [masterwork for exotic armor is not a thing]

3 RepliesEdited by LegendaryLegacy: 9/9/2018 5:22:37 AMYou think that’s broken? Check this Xur just has to sell it once.

7 RepliesOne eyed mask is great, I got it earlier but I can see why people say it needs some work. The argument it takes skill cause you have to secure a kill is invalid because it marks who shot you, letting you see where they go until you kill them and because you can prime the perk with a shotgun, fusion rifle, rocket launcher, weapons that take less skill basically. I love it, I want more like it, but I understand the complaints
Also Ace of Spades and this helmets perks together is crispy

yes I copied my own reply I dont want to type it out again
1 ReplyI find it interesting how everyone bitched and complained about wormhusk but now they want everyone to shut up and get good when it's a titan with a broken overpowered helmet that makes wormhusk look like a blue.
-
Please no nerf it
-
2 RepliesIt's insanely unfair, I think the wormhusk crown should at least be brought back to its previous state if we're going to have things like this. It's funny though, because titans wanted hunters to have the wormhusk crown nerfed, but now a ton of titans think this is perfectly acceptable.
-
This is absolute cancer and Hunter I completely agree with you as a Warlock this is just stupid. No one should be able to argue for this without accepting that it needs a massive nerf or everything other exotic needs an insane buff.
-
The defense I'm pretty sure is that it requires you to actually win fights vs Wormhuk dodging out of fights

2 RepliesAlways been surprised by the lack of use of the Foetracer in crucible. I’ve been using that since I got it and absolutely love it.
-
2 RepliesTitans need all the help they can get. Seriously, you could tie a hunter’s arm behind his back and he’d still win a one on one against one of Zavala’s meatheads.
-
4 RepliesStop! Lol, lemme get the exotic first before they start nerfing shit. There should be like a 2 week wait before complaints are allowed on these forums

What about Bonk Titan?

Noone cares about PvP.

Don't worry, as a Titan main, I will never use that literal piece of garbage.

27 RepliesBecause instead of just spamming dodge for months on months... this one actually requires you to get a kill without dying to benefit 😊
