Friend can’t redeem forsaken dlc gift (Xbox)
So I gifted my friend the forsaken dlc through Xbox, and once he got the code to redeem it and he tried to enter it, it wouldn’t go through. No error message or “code accepted” message appears, and the dlc does not appear in his downloaded content. We’ve tried resetting, and even reached out to Xbox support, who directed me here.

4 RepliesBungie is aware of an issue with the Xbox store gifting system and Forsaken, per the Known Issues thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248331271?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0 It should be noted that the gifting system is part of the Xbox store code redemption system and therefore Microsoft is a good primary point of contact, but Bungie is also looking into the situation.

1 ReplyI have the exact same problem, my friend gifted it to me yesterday and same outcome. Really frustrating, no eta on a fix and not a whole lot of communication about it.

Yes same here and xbox refunded money and i tried to buy it again and got a new code and it happened again, ive even tried on two consoles including and xbox one X. Worst part is you cannot get a hold of anyone to fix this issue all you can do is rant about it on a stupid forum that noone reads. Someone From Bungie Please answer the call i mean we have paid for this shit twice now.

Same here and tried enter code via Xbox and Website nothing it either take me to either the Store front or PC account page . So contacted Microsoft who even tried to redeem my code on their end (After Verifying my code was mine) and even they couldn't get it to take so after 20 min of waiting and they said it was an issue on Bungie's end. They even stated their trying to work with Bungie to fix the issue..it day 2 now still nothing nice Bungie great way to slowly drive off your gamer base and get people to abandon your game.

I have the same issue. I was gifted the Forsaken expansion and when I type in the code as soon as I finish typing in the last character (without hitting enter) it hits a loading screen for half a second and stays in the redeem screen empty.

Same for me my best friend gifted it to me this morning for my birthday and it won't work i submit code there is a pause then nothing. Called MS was on the phone for an hour not a problem with my xbox or my account.
