Constant Crashes on PS4 PRO
Ill try to make this short, but as the title states: Constant -VERY- constant game crashes on PS4 PRO.
I cannot be the only one experiencing this.
This is the list of the things i have tried to fix it, with no avail. The game crashes and keeps crashing:
Installed and running from stock drive
installed and running from External USB3 Drive
Resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels with HDR ON
Resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels with HDR OFF
Resolution at 1920x 1080 pixels with HDR ON
Resolution at 1920x 1080 pixels with HDR OFF
PS4 PRO Boost Mode ON
PS4 PRO Boost Mode OFF
Playing while Network is on Lan Cable
Playing while Network is on WiFi 2.4
Playing while Network is on WiFi 5.0
Really ALL the possible combinations of the limited options i can tweak while on PS4 PRO. Same result: DESTINY 2 KEEPS CRASHING.
The crashes are completely random. I also tried NOT TO MOVE for 30 or so minutes to see if that "helped"... guess what? Got a crash at minute 8:30 while standing still near the church at EDZ.
With or without fireteam, last night i was the only one crashing, my pals were 100% crash free, im the only one with a PRO tho...
So, Bungie and Activision. I REALLY wanted to like your game. And let me say, even with the constant crashes, like almost done with a mission and due to the crash i need to start it over and over again.. i still like your game and want to come back and finish my lvl-up. Im really digging the idea of purchasing the expansion but there is NO WAY i'll buy anything untill the crashes on my pro are fixed.
I think writing here is a very long shot. Devs and help team must be focused on other tasks and probably will never attend me, but i want to try. I really want to continue playing and experiencing your game.
Last night was just awful, 1 or probably 1 and a half hours of play with my pals and i got 4 crashes. really game braking =/

My PS4 PRO must been from the first batch, got it as soon as they got released.
Also to note: THIS GAME -DESTINY 2- is THE ONLY game that crashes on my PRO. From the -literally- hundreds of games played on the console this is THE ONLY ONE that crashes.

1 ReplyStill having this issue, have done everything in the thread, plus i also changed the hard drive thinking this was the problem. It is extremely frustrating that nothing has been done yet!!!

My Destiny 2 crashes every day 3-4 times till I stop playing. PS4 PRO here with all the updates. It started while in gambit matches, but now it crashes everywhere - strikes, quests, public events... For me Destiny 2 is becomming unplayable.

I'm also experiencing this in 2019. I've done fresh installs of PlayStation software and everything. Pls fix Bungie

Having the same issue here. sended the console to the service and they said that there's no problem with the hardware. Plz Help Bungie. You guys need to make a patch to fix this.

1 ReplyReinstall, Boost mode and so on doesnt work too. After a while of playing on Tangled Shore and Dreaming City it seems that in most cases these freezes come along with abomination spawns. i get freezes and PS4 Error CE-34878-0 : - in story mission 1 at the start of the last boss fight (abomination) - in story mission 2 where you have to defend satelite (abomination) - public event at four-horn gulch - Mad Bomber boss fight - in the dreaming city when abominations spawn ... I had once the same issue with "The Surge" a year ago. After Intro Video the screen freezed and a few seconds later the ps4 spit out that CE-34878-0. So i got in contact with Developers and tried out several configurations, including re-initialize, without solving the problem. So I was the only one having this issue they checked a couple of PS4 Error reports and recognized that there SEEMS to be a hardware issue at the GPU and pleased me to take this problem to Sony. After arguing for a while to the Support they took it into Service. I also attached the whole conversation with the developers. 2 weeks of waiting later i got MY Pro back with a writing that everthing is ok, no problems found. The issue with The Surge still exists and was several games later hopefully the only one ... till Forsaken released. I ´m really looking forward this can be fixed by bungie but actually i gave up hope already.

Restarting the ps4 right after the crash, seems to minimize the crashes here. At least I was able to complete the mindbender adventure alone.

1 ReplyI'm having the same issue with my normal ps4. And multiple posts that bunjie has replied to keep saying it's a sony problem and keep trying to push it on them, yet it happens ONLY with this game which makes no sense. They need a live/phone support line to handle this stuff directly instead of us having wo wait for them to "hopefully" reply to these concerns and actually fix these problems instead of pushing them on another company when it won't fix anything
