Thoughts on Well of Radiance?

I've been using it a lot in PvE and PvP. PvE feels really good cause it's so tanky. Plus it works really well with Starfire Protocol as you can get your Fusion Grenades back with the Super rift and with the melee ability. In PvP, it has really good synergy with bows cause they can 1 shot to the head. Although you can get shut down quite easily in PvP with it, especially with Pulse Grenades. I just use it more as a glorified Empowering Rift now. What does everyone else think of it who had used it?

  • Turns me into gandolf yelling you shall not pass, except with a good amount of killing in between the lines and a dance at the end. Told my hunter freind to pop spectral blades inside my golden ring he did and proceed to say that the well is all sorts of awesome

  • The new void Titan super is a shield you can shoot through and that shield ups your damage. The reason I mention this is because, as of the time of this posting, the Titan shield damage buff STACKS with well of radiance’s buff.

    • I'm a Hunter main, but I've encountered a couple of Warlocks using it in PvE during PEs. The first thing I've noticed is that when the Warlock summons the Sword and puts it into the ground, he looks amazing. Second thing, the effect of the Rift is noticeable. Which is really important, 'cos it makes you willing to stay into it. This, for example, didn't happen with the old Titan Ward of Dawn (pre-buff) 'cos the Bubble was useless and you didn't care too much to stay into it. The damage buff is good, the heatlh/shield regeneration too. I think the duration is okay, it would be great if there was an Exotic piece of Equipment to increase the duration of the Mega-Rift. In an organized group against a Boss or crowds of enemies, no dubt you want to have a Warlock with the Mega-Rift with you.

      • Awesome in PvE, it‘s basically godmode. Awesome in PvP if you use it at the right moment, takes time to master and that‘s just fine. Kinda the no land beyond of supers

I love it so much. I'd say that it's close to overpowered. My friends and I did the 540 Spider bounty (Cleaver dude) and the way we beat him almost felt like a cheese. We did the first round as normal by killing turrets and using bows to destroy the battery thing, but once we went in for the damage phase, I dropped WoR and we just smacked the dude to death with swords. The bubble apparently can't take away an ability that lingers... heh I do wish it dropped more orbs however.

      • main issue i have with it is that i still can get 1 hit killed in it in pve which is somewhat fine but the thing that kind lf makes it useless as an option is that you can just do way more with any other super

      • Sorry. Is Well of Radiance a Warlock super? I'm a hunter main (yeah yeah, scumbag) and I tried to keep as much in forsaken a surprise as I could. I keep seeing things written about "Well of Radiance" so thought I'd ask

        • Dunno about PvP. In PvE the subclass is godly.

        • Very good, and I believe healing rifts stack inside of it, because in gambit I set a healing rift inside of one and every shot I took my health didn’t even go down

          • My favorite class for both, if you're on top of healing in pvp you can absolutely dominate. Get 2 or 4 people in your well of radiance and you can guarantee you're not gonna lose that area

          • I personally really appreciate how it causes damage upon slamming it. It makes it really fun to just push Waaaaaay forward into enemies and then slam a couple, but then the super rift stops you from getting killed via over extending. The other thing I love about it is how other players know to stand in it. The very first time I used it in a public event the other 5 people doing the event immediately hopped on!

          • When I first saw the well of radiance I thought this reminds me of Lucio (From Overwatch) because of the AOE buff effects
