PC Keeps Hard-Locking

Game continues to crash and hard-lock my PC. This has occurred primarily during transitions between game areas or game states, for example: launching the tower from on a planet, fast traveling between areas on a planet, traveling from the Traveler to another planet or into Strike Playlist or Crucible. Freeze occurs either as soon as the launch is initiated, or as soon as the loading is complete just before I spawn. Has also occurred before and after loading cutscenes, and almost every time I alt+tab. PC becomes visibly unresponsive after crash, alt-tabbing after the crash causes the monitor to go black, the app switcher still works but the screen stays black. Only way to restore PC function is to use ctrl+shift+esc to open the Task Manager and blindly navigating to the Destiny 2 app with the arrow keys, and using Delete to kill it (this is especially tricky since the only way to see if I'm killing the right process is by looking at the tiny preview of the task manager from the alt+tab popup window, and hoping I'm selecting the right process) Since the game freezes entirely and needs to be killed from the Task Manager, I don't get a error code from the crash. The best I've been able to come across are some temp file crash logs but I haven't had any luck figuring anything out from them. Let me know what files or info you'd like me to send and I'll be sure to get them. Hoping this can get resolved soon, I usually don't get more than 20 minutes or so into the game before it locks up. • I'm not a tech wiz but this same thing is happening to me. I just upgraded my video card and ram. I suspect its my brand new 2080-ti. It gets hot, and the fans never kick on like they should. If i blast the fans 100% the problem goes away... But so does the rest of the sound in the house.
