Seriously trying to figure this out, been at this all day. This has been happening for weeks now and I still can't get to the bottom of it.
Basically when I have my monitor plugged in, if Destiny is launched the sound keeps cutting in and out.
I've tried reinstalling drivers, using headphones, nothing, etc... the sound meter doesn't seem to be affected, but the screen flickers in and out and the sound gets cut out as if the monitor is using the HDMI sound drivers instead of just the onboard sound. Which doesn't make sense because the monitor doesn't have speakers?! Only happens in Destiny
Edit: Just tried switching from fullscreen to windowed, etc... no changes.
Enabled both the main screen and the secondary widescreen monitor

This video shows the sound cutting out with the screen disabled.

This one shows the screen flickering with the screen enabled but sound working.
This only happens when I have Destiny open, no other game does this

Hello again. Are you still having this issue? If so, can you please send a DXDiag report?
1. To find this information, press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag”, no quotation marks. 2. Click on “save all information”. • a) Save the file to a location you can easily find. • b) Open the saved file to view the report. 3. Copy text from saved file to preferred third-party text dump website (i.e. PasteBin, DumpTxt) and share link here.
2 RepliesHello, and thank you for the report and video. I will forward this to the appropriate party. Also, to let you know, I receive a 404 error when trying to access the second video.

6 RepliesPlease stick to one post. Making multiple means you may not get the full help you need. I will be moving all others out of help as this one seems to have the most information.

Edited by KageBlink: 9/5/2018 7:23:15 PMbump, this is really annoying, especially since when you're trying to listen to your ghost but it cuts out subtitles get covered up by completed mission statements, this and that, etc... Can't play any missions because you actually watch the cutscenes unlike 90% of people that play this game who just skip it

still nothing eh?

I had to enable both monitors, as I wanted to conserve resources by disabling the screen, and just have the other one on. Turns out it is swapping something in the background like flickering on and off, and this would cut out the sound for me. I have it fixed now, granted my other screen still flickers but at least the sound stays... still unsettling that Destiny would be doing this and that no one is able to help. After all of these posts and still no one able to help. Do you job please support staff. Where are the mods at least?
