A fix that worked for myself and two buddies who were getting boar / corrupted expansion errors.
1.) First navigate to the destiny 2 manager. You can do this by pressing the menu button while hovering over the destiny 2 thumbnail at the home screen and selecting "manage game and add boons" uninstall all DLC files for destiny 2 (yes all including warming and COO)
2.) You should now only have the base D2 game file ~ 75 gigs (YOU DO NOT NEED TO DELETE THIS FILE)
3.) Go to the home screen and make sure auto updates are turned on. To do this press menu, and move over the the right most menu and select settings. Next navigate to "system" and select the tab for "updates". There will be two check boxes shown here, one for the console itself, and one for games. Make sure they are both ticked.
4.) Return home and hard reset the Xbox by holding the power button for approximately 10 seconds.
5.) Reboot the system (it will take a few extra minutes to boot up)
6.) Once you are at your home screen boot up destiny 2 ....... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MANUALLY RE INSTALL THE DLC's
7.) The game should boot up fine now
The reason for all this has something to do with an issue where manually downloading the content isn't allowing the files to collaborate properly and by having the system do it, they are able to work appropriately.
I hope this helps some lost, frustrated soul out there.

Lol this has been happening to me since black armory dropped. Sorted now. Thanks 👏

Thanks so much! I slightly deviated from the instruction though and only uninstalled the main Forsaken dlc. Thanks so much for the advice because it works!

2 RepliesEdited by Nyx Moontide: 9/7/2018 1:12:40 AMI've been getting Boar errors infrequently since the first dlc, just had another today. Re-installing is the last thing I would do, unless you have god tier internet speed. Force quit and relaunch the game, hold the power button down until you hear the hard drive working while it's off (cache clear), disconnect from power for a while, one of those usually works if not sheer persistence. Re-installing doesn't do anything different than clearing your cache, it would not run period if it was actually corrupted (their checksum systems are stupidly redundant) so you're just going the long way around it, it's the game trying to access your licences and timing out that causes the error (which is why it tries to launch the store sometimes, and then the store replies "you already have this!!"). I get the error in both Destiny games, try a few times and then it works again fine, don't waste your time and bandwidth for a placebo.

1 ReplyI would assume this would work very similar for PS4, I'll have to give it a try

I tried this along with 2 hard resets. I still got boar. I let my screen sit on the error code for about 10 minutes. It cycled through the error a few times and now just let me in. Weird...

Edited by NoszerO LQ: 9/7/2018 2:50:16 AMThank you! My God I was trying for an hour. Played the first 24 hours no problem and tonite no way. Bungie should pay this Albelust for helping us all!

1 Replydid this, everything works, but three of my dlc files show as ready to install..those being coldheart preorder pack, curse of osiris, and warmind. but everything works? what the frell?
-
This worked like a charm, thank you!
-
You sir are a lifesaver!!! I can confirm that this method worked!
-
It worked, Holly shit it worked, and it's still in the forsken expansion, what gives, I don't get it!! Please explain this!!

Just want to clarify that when Arbelust said all DLC, this means any add-ons as well...the only thing that should be left is the base game itself. The base game already has all of this data. The thing this is doing is forcing a reverification of your DLC permissions which apparently there is some error in. Those little add-ons are just a way to pre-download content when it's available instead of waiting on the game releases to do it.

You are an actual G bro. This worked

Edited by Lia: 9/7/2018 1:23:06 AMwaiting for reset now. If this works, thanks in advance 20 mins later: ok so I tried to boot up D2, and its starting a 47GB update. Is that normal?

1 ReplyHaving the boar issue on 2 separate Xboxes that both worked fine this AM.

OP worked for me. I did exactly what was said. It’s odd that I didn’t have to reinstall the DLCs since I uninstalled them, but everything is as it was before the error and I didn’t reinstall anything. Thank you!!
-
I uninstalled all add-ons (10mb) files, game loaded. Re-installed, got error again. Unloaded CoO only, game loaded for me. Thought maybe this might help some folks. Not sure if it is just CoO add-on file, or if that is just my situation. Good luck!
