Best Buy Forsaken Pre Order Code Not Working
I pre ordered digital forsaken for ps4 via Best Buy and code was just emailed, but when I go to redeem it says Not valid or already used? I know game isnt up yet but I should still be able to atleast redeem it right?
Any help would be great....

Cancelled my ps4 preorder last week at gamestop because everything seemed really jenky about how it was being handled and exchanged it for ps cash cards which I used to pre-order on the ps store... They said I was overreacting and that everything would be fine at launch, looked at me like "I" was crazy! WELL DO CRAZY PEOPLE STRIP NAKED AND RUB THEIR BUTTS AGAINST THE WINDOW AT GAMESTOP!?!? my gamestop pre order isnt working either, it is recognized on my PS4 account as purchased/redeemed, the expansion downloaded, but in game the director says to buy it for $39.99, really pissing me off like I'm really gonna fork over another $40 for this bullshit.

Almost 24hrs after first getting my code from Best Buy and I still can’t use it and they still haven’t sent a new one. I also had Forsaken with the annual pass. So there is $70 or so dollars wasted.

Tried my Best Buy code earlier this morning, got the "invalid" message. Waited until 1PM on the dot, then tried my code again. It went through fine. Looks like we just had to wait for the content to go live. If you haven't tried it again, give it a shot now. Happy hunting, Guardians!

Best Buy just told me that Bungie told them it's because of maintenance and that the codes will be redeemable after maintenance, so you can't preload with the Best Buy code and it's Bungie's fault.

Just called Best buy and they said the code should work after maintenance is done.

2 RepliesI’m noting that anyone claiming to have this issue on this thread appears to be playing on PlayStation. Console code redemption is into the PSN store. If there are issues with code redemption, contacting Sony is the best path forward.

Called both BB and Playstation this morning. They both said that after the Bungie maintenance is done and Forsaken goes live that the original codes sent should work. In the meantime, DL the patch so that you can "flip the switch" for access at go live. If it doesn't work, Sony said to contact Bungie as they were the ones that supplied the codes to the different distributors. #crossingfingers

1 ReplySame issue here. Best buy said to contact the vendor of the code, so I wrote Bungie, but it could be a case of Sony blaming Best Buy blaming Bungie blaming Sony. It seems Best Buy is the common denominator here though. The real question is, since the codes won't work until after maintenance, will the pre-order bonuses still activate? Is it in the code, or is it all about the timing of when you redeem it? I suspect it's in the code and it will be fine, but I'm not sure.

9 RepliesUpdate: Contacted Best Buy, they are aware of the issue and have “escalated it” and want us all to give them 24-48 hours to fix it. I think Best Buy is about to lose a lot of money.

Also.. I guess I have a free copy of destiny 2 waiting for pickup. I don't recall ever seeing a free copy of the base game in the preorder..
