Although i'm happy our TTK was reduced, i'm still confounded that Bungie has actually gone the complete opposite direction for Supers to be healthy.
Buffing them for PvE was a good call- but again, it addresses how PvP balancing needs to be entirely separate.
Ever since D1, I've always felt as if my weapon did nothing to Supers (Outside if Sniper headshots). But in D2, this is honestly the worst experience I've ever had in my life; 150RPM HandCannons do 60-68-ish to the head. But when someone pops a Super, it's now doing 20 to the head...
You actually expect players to hit a target... with 200 health... ten times in the head when they have movement speed while in Super... and extremely sudden and evasive movesets...
That's ridiculous- and in Competitive, literally gives free rounds/wins. This is not what we want for Comp.
I suggest that in Crucible, the Super is getting to one-shot opponents. That's it. You shouldn't get any damage resistance at all. All because you're in third person, you're practically indestructible. Snipers can't even one-shot headshot them..! (Only Whisper and Borealis can..! That's bullshit..!)
And don't even get me started on Duration. Waaay too long. Way too long. You can clear the whole Eternity map, and that Super will still be able to kill you, and every teammate you have. Stupid.
Supers right now, unjustifiably reward bad positioning and play.
Honestly, the only Super in the game that's fair and balanced is Golden Gun. They removed it's Bullet Magnetisation. It has low duration. Not even killing opponents with Overshield. etc.
- Either, balance your Supers for Crucible. Or. Let people have fun with them in Quick Play, and completely remove them from Competitive.

1 ReplyIt’s almost like they’re called ‘supers’ for a reason… like they’re supposed to be our strongest ability or something 🤔🤔🤔
