I don't understand why Bungie continues to "fix" features that aren't broken. I was very satisfied with the rate at which I could upgrade armor. I loved the token system. Little things like this (*cough, shaders) is why I have a love/hate relationship with this game. Yall have been doing this crap since vanilla beta destiny I love this game but I hate the inconsistency.

Upgrading armor now requires resources...WTF
I know! It's pretty sweet, right? I'm digging the change also! Finally something I can use all the mats I've been hoarding over the last year for. :)
-
Im more worried about the shards.
-
I got almost 200 mats just doing the flashpoint on mars, which took...maybe an hour? I really don’t see this being a problem.
-
I was a farming fool this past week...stocked up on all planetary resources, master work cores, weapon parts, legendary shards, glimmer and bright dust, n crucible vanguard n banshee tokens
-
So much better now 😁
-
It actually makes the materials worth collecting though.
-
It's really not that bad. I've gotten almost 1,000 Seraphite this week. The Heroic Adventures are much easier now and give 32 of the resource per completion. Chests give 4, I think, and the extra Flashpoint bosses give 12.
-
FINALLY! Finally they made the resources worth grabbing!
-
Using a relevant ghost I got over a hundred in around 10 minutes. Not a grind.
-
Go on a hunter use the void super and one of those trees gives enhanced tracker and if you pair that with a planetary ghost you'll get hundreds in the matter of an hour. That's what I did. I gained over 100 for each planet and gave up as it should keep me good for a while
-
6 RepliesIt's fine. In the course of 3 hours, I went from zero materials to +200 from every source. Use a chest finder ghost shell for that planet, and do patrols as you go. Everything else is a waste of time.
-
2 RepliesWaaaahh.... It’s more like d1, what we all wanted... I just started pre farming and I’m at 700+ for each planet except Mercury I hate that place. It’s not hard and you get plenty now.
-
Put on ghost the helped you find materials, do a few public events and patrols that soon enough you have a few hundred its pretty easy
-
2 RepliesI know right back in destiny 1 they -blam!-ing got rid of this -blam!-ing option because everyone hated grinding to upgrade gear.
-
Doesn't bother me. I like it better.
-
1 ReplyI understand your opinion, and your frustration but I do not agree. My Opinions: - I think this was a healthy change (one would think twice before infusing crap into other crap). - Chase for Power level just got Real. - Tokens and Resources = No Difference Really. (previously you could exchange resources alongside your small mountain of accumulated shit to aid in getting that extra engram) - served no purpose really unless it was for a Challenge Farm. Economy Wise. - resources are more abundant than Tokens. - 4 Resources per Chest vs 2 Tokens and A Blue. - 4 - 6 Resources per Resource grab on the planet as suppose to 1 - 2 Tokens from an Enemy. - 32 Resources per Adventure. - cost you 10 resources of Said material for Infusion. Yes the economy System changed, - there is an actual GRIND and WORK that needs to be done now if you want to level up. for example, - Resets Mars Flashpoint - Prior to that I had 104 Tokens, I cashed that shit in dismantled it for shards. I had 49 Seraphite. I ran all 3 my Characters, did Adventures, Heroic Public Events, Lost Sectors, and Heroic Adventures on Each Character playing 1 hour a night, doing 3 Characters in 2 - 3 Days. - after that I had 500+ Resource Materials. the chase and grind to your power level just became real, and I like it.
-
3 RepliesMemories of D1 vanilla. Patrolling for hours to upgrade ONE gun or ONE armor piece lol.
-
I'm sure you were fine with mindlessly dumping shit down the -blam!-ing drain and not having to stop for half a split-second to consider whether or not you should infuse some gear. Don't worry champ, it'll be alright.
-
Just doing the flashpoint will give you a 100 planetary materials.....it'll be just fine.
-
1 ReplyI mean, they shouldn't have ever changed it from D1 anyway.
-
Inconsistency? How do you expect improvement if there is no change?
-
Listen, the "no-lifers" need senseless tasks and bullshit grind to fill their time.
-
2 RepliesAnd? They're much easier to acquire than they were in D1. Currently sitting on 200+ planetary materials from each planet. But, hey, if you wanna whine about it anyway...
-
1 ReplyEdited by Sturm with no Drang: 9/3/2018 4:33:03 AMHonestly, grinding for those shitty materials is nothing new for me, however what actually grinds my gears something fierce is that there has been no mention of a vendor who allows us to cash in for buying resources similar to the Armory Frame vendor who’d let you trade in legendary marks for resource bundles. That and the fact that legendary shard costs for infusion went up by x5. That last one really rubs me the wrong way. Heck, almost makes me want to go out of the way to make a Twitter account and ask them there “What the actual -blam!-?”
-
Like, planetary materials? Great!
-
7 RepliesYou can get enough resources to upgrade an armour piece in seconds.
