Im seeing the word "skill" pop up a lot today on these forum.

Shotguns aren't about weapon skill as much as they require map knowledge and approach skills. And one still has to know the right range to engage, optimal time to pull the trigger, and must be "accurate" enough to have the reticle or crosshair on target- notably for slower firing shotguns. It's not that they are a skilled weapon to use, and there are folks who will use them in the most unskilled way possible like camping a corner. But with skill, they are quite destructive.
