Cannot access ANY strikes - level 30
I started a warlock before patch 2.0 dropped. I had maybe 8 levels, and did not have access to strikes. I have two other characters that have access to strikes.
After 2.0 I got to level 30. I got past the point where you get The Vanguard back at the farm, and usually, have Zavala unlock the Strikes Playlist for you.
This never happened for me. I was never given the option to unlock strikes. I have looked for Zavala and he is at the tower, only offering the usual merchant rewards. I've gotten through all 3 campaigns and never had the ability to run a strike. I can join other people when THEY begin a strike, and access crucible.

I have been looking for this all morning, I know this is an old thread but if anyone is looking here is what you need to do. once you have completed the campaign, go to the tower and follow way points for end of campaign rewards. Once you reach the end of the rewards you should have a pop saying there are new quests available. you should then be able to do strikes.

Same issues here. I can play strikes individually and can be in someone else’s fireteam in order to do the playlist, but I can’t access the playlist at all on my own. Teaming up with others seemed like a decent workaround, until we realized I don’t have access to the nightfall mission, and this can’t do the nightfall strikes AT ALL. Very frustrating, especially with having put god knows how many hours into the character.

This is currently happening to me! It's been driving me crazy I just made a new warlock and boosted to level 30 and boom vanguard is there but on my main hunter no vanguard wtf if anyone has a fix please help

I'm assuming this is still an issue for everyone here? It's driving me crazy. Same situation came back for forsaken levelled through the first expansions now no access to strikes on the destinations map, no nightfalls yet I'm level 50 power 510. Zavala has nothing for me

Any new word on this? Still having this problem and it's making my wife talk about quitting altogether. Very frustrating.

I also have the same issue. I played with a friend and even go to the farm and Zavala was there once again! But he still didn’t give me the strikes playlist but he did give it to my friend. I need help! I don’t want to restart my character!

I have the exact same problem. I was level 12 on my Hunter but yesterday I powered through all campaigns bar the Forsaken expansion, so Zavala is sitting pretty on the Traveler. I have done every EDZ adventure but no luck :/ Are we being blind or is it because we didn't talk to Zavala whilst he was on the farm and now are stuck with not having access to nightfalls and strike playlists?

UPDATE: After 2.0.01 I am still stuck. I cannot access the new "Vanguard" activities on this character, though I can with all my others. Am on the list of people with the same issue! New player so was expecting I had missed something crucial, happy to hear there are others on the same boat! I only noticed once I tried to finish off one of my bounties on my own :')

1 ReplyI have the same issue. I started a hunter prior to the recent update. I completed Destiny 2 story since and strike playlist never unlocked. It shows the circle with no ability to select anything. Please help ASAP!

Most people made their new characters BEFORE 2.0, AFAIK. This guy: [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248247916?sort=0&page=0]says that he didn't have this problem on a character STARTED after 2.0.[/url] It does seem in common with the people who have this problem that they have A: Started a character BEFORE 2.0 B: Gotten to the "strikes" milestone AFTER 2.0 I DO NOT want to play through the storyline again. I got this character up to 30 and 360 light, comeon. I wanna start Forsaken with my new warlock.
