Im calling this a bug because I dont think this was actually intended but explosive payload guns are VERY underpowered after the patch. For example:
Was comparing Nifleheim Frost and Nameless Midnight in Prestige Castellum on identical regular red bar mobs. Not using kill clip and shooting things close in range where dmg falloff wasn't an issue. They both have the same exact impact stats and are precision frames.
Nameless Midnight:
Avg Dmg per shot (precision headshot): 337 + 123 explosive total 460
Nifl Frost (precision headshot):
Avg dmg per shot: 602
This shouldn't be right. It's because the explosive dmg doesn't count as precision and doesn't get the precision shot bonus the full dmg of Frost does. So Explosive shots basically got double nerfed. Once from the explosive rounds being nerfed on their own, and secondly from the body shots doing less dmg which the explosive dmg counts as making those guns underpowered now. Any equal impact gun that does full precision damage will now outdamage any explosive payload gun by more than 100 dmg per shot. This should be looked at and adjusted.
