Im seeing the word "skill" pop up a lot today on these forum.

1 ReplyShotguns are for people who don't know how to play this game it was a problem in d1 and now it's a problem again
-
Shotguns aren't about weapon skill as much as they require map knowledge and approach skills. And one still has to know the right range to engage, optimal time to pull the trigger, and must be "accurate" enough to have the reticle or crosshair on target- notably for slower firing shotguns. It's not that they are a skilled weapon to use, and there are folks who will use them in the most unskilled way possible like camping a corner. But with skill, they are quite destructive.

Shotguns are just fun to use. Why be such a waste of oxygen about it?

2 RepliesEdited by ThanosTargaryen: 9/2/2018 11:13:17 AMNah..graviton was a crutch weapon.. Now a question for you Does your pussy hurt?
-
I’m not a shot gunner personally. But you do need evasive manoeuvres in order to close the gap. So there is a lil bit of “skill” in there
-
And so it begins . .... Get ready folks for the special ammo shortage shotgun nerf of 2018.
-
8 RepliesSkill and video games shouldn’t be used in the same sentence... ever! Now there is an art to closing the gap. Anyone can just hold forward. Getting within range and living can be a different story. I could say the same for Snipers. QuickScoping vs Hardscoping... anyone can hardscope a lane... There’s an art to pulling off quickscopes consistently. But it all takes practice! I for one can’t wait to get my hands on the Chaperone!!!

12 RepliesFusion rifle with hot swap. Problem solved.
-
Cause people think it takes skill to camp corners or run around in close quarters and shoot people with a weapon that has the largest spread in the game for the short range shotties have. You know looking in that persons direction and pulling the trigger takes so much skill.
-
20 RepliesBecause they don’t move themselvez around the map. Get themselves to nearly point blank range without getting killed. Aim themselves or pull their own triggers. There are no crutch weapons in this game. The only crutch weapon I’ve ever seen in a shooter was Titanfall’s Smart Pistol. https://m.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=Kxh9dUIMcCo

4 RepliesIt's a video game. There's no life skills at all in it. My opinion.
-
Does your pussy hurt?
-
Cause walking and pulling the trigger is hard for a lot of players
-
I didn’t think this update would generate so much salt
-
scrubs who cant aim running round with shotties trying to convince themselves that it takes skill. these scrubs cant track for shit
-
1 ReplyDont worry. range and damage nerf incoming. As long as it doesnt affect PvE.
-
3 RepliesShotguns wouldn't be so bad if the maps weren't tiny cluster f*cks littered with cover which in turns allows shotgun users to easily close the gap with little to no damage taken. Like shotguns are doing what they are supposed to do but the maps are just supporting them way to much.
-
Alright listen here you shotgun scrubs. If you’re nothing without a shotgun, then you shouldn’t have it.
-
You're probably one of those little kids that thinks sniping takes incredible skill and everything else is a noob weapon. NEWSFLASH: There's more to skill than having good aim. A LOT more. If you think shotguns take no skill just because they don't require precise aim then you're an idiot.
-
There is no skill anymore. Crucible is dead.
-
4 Repliesthere is no skill to using a shotgun its just point and click
-
2 RepliesI just hope they bring back invective.
-
4 RepliesI hate being this kind of person but I can’t agree with you any more... it’s literally “Point. Shoot. Run. Repeat” They take absolutely no thought at all to use...
-
2 RepliesUh....what about the time it takes to actually close the gap between you and said person? I mean if you aren't shooting me that's more of a user issue then mine everytime I see someone come at me with a shotgun I back up and 3 tap so idk how people fail at that

Edited by GTLargo21: 8/31/2018 4:49:08 AMIt's the skill of baiting corners and not being alone... especially in D2. Ever since they took away my UniMote (which I used in crucible since it was released) I just don't enjoy shotguns anymore. Had a good Matador 64, but wasn't the same.
