I didn’t know just spawning with 1- 2 shots in your shotgun was a “convoluted system”.

Did you play D1? They already went through this, as I remember it, they landed on: The first spawn you have Special Ammo (where shotties, snipers, and fusion rifles can only be used in D1 - lest Universal Remote and No Land Beyond), if you die, unless you have a sidearm - you DON'T spawn with Special Ammo again. They also made Special Ammo bricks spawn the same way Heavy does. Which makes more sense when you are talking about guns that can one hit people. It's the differentiation between a one hit and not one hit gun that people seem to be missing. You shouldn't start every life with one hit kill guns. Ergo the gun going ham with their shotgun that you take out shouldn't spawn with it again to slide shottie around like a douche. At the very least they should make the hit boxes work better when someone is sliding.
You shouldn't start every life with one hit kill guns.
Why not. Every OTHER shooter game that I've ever played does. What is it with you Halo jockeys that makes you think you shouldn't have to deal with the presence of OHK weapons in the game?? As long as the multi-shot weapons kill fast enough to be a threat to someone with a sniper or a shotgun, WTF are you complaining about?
to slide shottie around like a douche.
Then I suggest you learn how to counter that tactic. Its not very difficult.

This set up is far better imo. If people spawned with no ammo, it would be exactly like it was after bungie changed the heavy ammo spawn, allowing for one person to absolutely stomp since no one else had shotgun ammo to counter. Having 2 shots is enough to make sure you can fight back however isn't enough to constantly slay unless you're.....constantly slaying.
