45 Legendary shards to upgrade 3 weapons? WTF?
If we were all online streamers with no life beyond playing destiny... The infusion requirements would be a non-issue. You now need to dismantle at least 15 Legendary items to upgrade 3 weapons...
Please take the manager who signed off on this decision and make him start from scratch and try to enjoy the game playing with nothing but blues - - because some moron made a decision based on streamers bragging about how many materials they were all sitting on....

1 ReplyWhy are you infusing things? Really just wait until you hit a softcap before you infuse, try out new weapons in the meantime.

20 RepliesWhat are you missing that you need to dismantle so many weapons to infuse? Glimmer is easy to come by, legendary shards were in access ( I have 7,000 and that is middle of the road), masterwork cores might be difficult to come by but you should have 100 around by now.

Fun fact: Legendary shaders(aside from eververse ones) and mods give you 1 legendary shard when dismantled. Should make the grind a bit easier.

2 RepliesA Bungie dev thought process: 1, Let's increase the Vault space to 500 2, Let's increase the infusion requirements so that they'll have to dismantle more Legendary gear so they won't need it 3, Laugh our arses off down the pub.

7 RepliesNot everyone is hoarding thousands and thousands of resources and shards, the new amounts needed to infuse an item are ridiculous. 2500 glimmer - ok 10 shards - a bit much 10+ resources - ok (hit 200 on mars doing flashpoint) It’s the shards that’s going to hurt especially seeing as most people will want to infuse often to keep using they favourite stuff.

2 RepliesIf there's one thing I have learned from close to 4 years of playing Destiny, is to spend some of my playing time gathering things and then hoard them all. If any player doesn't have a stockpile of shards, materials, etc. then maybe this will be the lesson to learn that.

I would describe myself as casual did not even do splice armour more than once and I have over 3600 as there was nothing to spend them on !

You get shards from other items as well. How many shaders do you have? If we will be able to dismantle all our shaders for materials, you'll have enough glimmer, shards and bright dust to last quite a while and that's without dismantling a single weapon. You don't know how things are going to drop in forsaken so try not to get too worked up about it just yet.

EDIT: Misread, and thought you were talking of Masterworks. The shards deal is just fine. I'm only a semi serious player who infuses like it's going out of style and I [i]still[/i] have 1500+ legendary shards (that's on top of burning them on boons). Infusion has been changed to make it matter. To make materials matter. I'll say it again though: Don't sweat it. I'm sure you'll find everything you want and need. Just use new stuff (blues) as you level up and don't infuse unless it's something you [i]really[/i] like.
