Yeah, it's like my lazy a$s neighbor who always has landscapers come out and cut the grass, plant the flowers, prune the trees ...and shovel the snow. I do that all myself like a proper homeowner should. He's a scrub because his lawn looks great and he doesn't do a thing. 🤣 Yeah, I could care less what his lawn looks like
-
Never been affected by it...clearly isn't ruining anything.
-
yes, nothing

1 ReplyAll Bungie is concerned with is meeting Activision contractual content deadlines, controlling how we play the game, and limiting our fun as much as possible.
-
Knowing Bungie, they are probably running it themselves. Anything for a buck to pay homage to Activision.

2 RepliesRuining the game 😂 Account recovery tactics have, literally, zero impact on my enjoyment. Maybe you should stop worrying about everyone else and focus on yourself.
-
1 ReplyNot gonna make any difference to your gaming experience so why do you care? Your either going to: Play against a good team on a bad players account. Or Play against the same good team on their own accounts. Let the dummies pay for whatever they want
-
Even if they were able to stop recoveries (How would one stop people from "sharing accounts") they wouldnt be able to stop Three good players playing with one bad one aka carries, nothing would change...
-
How do you propose they do this? There are thousands of people doing it who make new accounts every day...
-
Why? Serious question, why does someone else playing an account matter to you? If you think it stupid, then don't use it, but if someone has a certain skill then why not let them earn a few $$ for it? It's not like their matchmaking actually works anyways.
-
Its pathetic that people pay for recoveries but it doesn’t negatively affect anybody so who cares. Let dumb people be dumb lol.
-
4 RepliesHow is it ruining anything? Those good players will play , whether on their account or somebody else. It doesnt affect you in any way
-
1 ReplyEdited by BloodS1ay3r: 8/28/2018 5:47:12 AMWhat the hell is a recovery player?
-
Thats not bungies problem more of a player problem something like whisper go in solo do the jumping puzzle a few times and then when ur comfortable lfg.
-
How is it ruining the game?
-
How can they? I mean, there's such a thing as privacy. What happens with your account is your business. And if you pay someone else to carry you or troll your account? Well, you're a grade-A Beavis for that... but I don't see how Bungie can really stop you.
-
Businesses won't do anything that could have a negative effect on sales. If Bungie go banning everyone reported as cheating, they'd lose sales of future content. That's all there is to it.
-
Edited by CatMan: 8/28/2018 2:07:48 AMWhat exactly could they do? These ads are on Reddit, eBay, websites dedicated to it, fiver, etc. Only thing I could see them doing is more stuff like that new Quest coming out. At the same time bungee can't stop people from being stupid and buying these services. Eververse~ We take, but we also give...2fx
-
The only thing Bungie can do is if it happens on there forums as it violates the ToS and CoC, if it happens outside they are not legally required to act. Im sorry for your experince.
-
There is absouloutely nothing bungie can do about that. If people choose to throw money at the carries and recovs that's on them, bungie can't exactly issue bans to people playing thier game
-
4 RepliesPolicing stuff like this is Microsoft /PlayStation's responsibility, not Bungie's.
-
1 ReplyQuit crying. I see different threads and you people constantly contradict yourselves. One thread "I don't care what people use" another thread "waaah paid recoveries"
-
1 ReplyThere are a lot of different ways for people to preform paid carry transactions, and even if Bungie did start to wipe that out, it would take too long to try and take out something impossible to remove entirely.
-
Bungie can't even stop blatant network manipulation cheats. I dount they will ever do anything about cash for recov black market. They should. But they wont.
-
Really can’t see where account recovery’s are a issue within a game. If someone is willing to pay then it’s down to that person. It’s their money they do what they want. Never have I paid. Or done a account recovery. But if someone is willing to give their details that’s their own decision.

5 RepliesEdited by StabbyOShanks: 8/27/2018 8:00:44 PMThey could but no way they'll put effort into it. Dedicated Servers would neuter DDOSING since while still possible it takes much more of an effort to bring down a whole server vs one single person's connection. Plus you'd have to target the server that you are on thus booting yourself as well in the process. Self defeating scenario. Account recoveries are more of a nightmare with people willing to give out their logins. It could be done by having to register your new game with your device serial number and mac address of your device, and tied to the account login. Any detected logins of the account with the mismatched hardware specs causes immediate account ban and account deletion.
