"First glassing,.. Me too."
I didn't quite get this quote. What does it mean?

Glassing refers to the super heating of earth, sand etc into a single solid fine state. In this example, the covenant "navy" encircle the plants strategic points (ie, sword base) and fire down super heated plasma until the surface is completely obliterated. Notice how the first time we visit sword in the reach campaign its all snow,ocean and glaciers, then the second time the surronding area is all water, steam and barren?

Think of a guy and a girl doing the business. "Your first time?" The girl asks. Guy nods. "Yeah, me too" the girl replies. It's like that, but with the destructive glassing of a planet instead of the nasties.

Glassing is when the Covenant defeated the space forces of the enemy planet and would proceed to "cleanse" it, or in human terms "glass". They would use a high powered energy weapon mounted on their ships. These beams, presumably used by Forerunners previously for excavation, would literally scorch the ground until not only everything was dead, but a layer of silvery glass covered the surface.

Yea that sucks I would hate to be on Earth while it was being glassed in some parts.

The blast that occurred during that cut scene was a glassing of the planet. Kat was asking Six if it was his first time experiencing one first hand, b/c it was her first experience of it as well.

I assume she meant that it was her first first-hand experience with a planet being glassed.
